*READ ME* World of smoke and vape is a franchise model business with the executive operations team for the Parent Co. headquartered out of Florida and franchisees located across the Southwest United states. where I live in Dallas there appears to be one ownership group with several stores in their territory and of course many other owners and franchisees of the brand across metroplex, and then of course multiple other territories within DFW split out amongst the other franchisees, etc. The store located on Lovers Lane is closest to my home in Highland Park and I've been a very valuable, very loyal, fairly easy -ish customer there for probably nearly two years now. Of course Vape Shops seem to be a dime a dozen these days and there's no shortage of selection so having brand loyalty or loyalties to a specific shop should definitely carry quite a bit of weight in terms of customer experience and just customer experience for those stores in general. Especially given the low barrier to entry and extreme competition in the space. Understanding the fact that $14 an hour employees may not meet the utmost standards and my expectations are admittedly perhaps a bit extreme for for just about everything, fair, I typically have pretty good experiences in developing relationships and continuing to do repeat business. And once I find somewhere and or someone that I enjoy working with and a brand that treats me well, I am loyal to a fault. In certain cases, I and more than willing to invest significantly. BUT... today when I pulled into the parking lot on Lover's Lane as I do basically every other day, one short stocky female employee whose name i forcefully forgot (D) felt the need to come out of her store which I understand they are not supposed to do, approach my vehicle while my windows were up and I was clearly on the phone, and then proceeded to tap on my window. after placing this call on hold and cracking my window she actually had the audacity to tell me, knowing well I'm handicapped because I can't walk, that I had crossed over a parking line and that I needed to reset my car so that I wasn't an inch over the line in the empty row (i dont use the reserved) I hadn't even finished parking and she looked at me and said "well just make sure". After finishing my call I sat in the car for a moment to calm myself and when I got out I simply opened the front door and I said "you know that was pretty unnecessary not very smart and essentially just kind of completely useless. did you really feel the need to come out to my vehicle to tell me that after seeing me everyday and knowing I am handicapped?" She said if that's your attitude then don't even come in the store... Keep in mind i probably drop a few Gs a month at this place. Not the most, but pretty consistently month in and out. Probably got at least 25k in the store sales After hearing her response, I basically shot her big bird and reminded her who she was talking to and when I walked back to my car, I made a concrete decision. Not only would I never set foot in Lover's WSOV again, but not ANY WSOV. And i will share with every person who asks or doesnt, which may be a decent size, exactly why. There's no shortage of vape shops these days no shortage of price matching no shortage of customer service no shortage of entrepreneurs seeking to build their business with a brand name that is associated with service and excellence. Unfortunately for World of smoking vape as their franchise model they lose a bit of that control and this will cost the entire corporate ecosystem. I think this is a great lesson for entrepreneurs in the franchise business entrepreneurs in The Vape Shop business and customer service in general how truly one employee can ruin an entire experience and from that one ruined experience businesses can suffer. And, if you end up with too many of THOSE, well, that's how extremely competitive Industries get consolidated. Check out 360 Smoke / Vape a few doors down on Lovers instead. Best of luck to Dallas Lovers wsov. PP - Out. PS. Check Tape ;)
