Worcester County Orthopedics - Philip J Lahey Jr MD
Lahey is condescending, lacks empathy & can be very rude. i dont think he had my best interest at heart. I highly advise people to your research & check out other options if possible. Lahey Jr Used a cadaver (God knows where that came from) on my ACL instead using a tendon from my strong & healthy quad or hamstring. It did not properly integrate with my body & I developed arthofibrosis. & yes i did get an MRI that confirmed my suspicions, request made by a different Dr. shout out to him. Im a 32yr old male athlete with above average health & fitness levels & he insisted on a cadaver, maybe cause he doesnt have the skill or time to sculpt the ligament from one my own tendons. He also refused to request an MRI for me to confirm a job well done. You ask me he comes off as pretentious due to his profession he inherited as hes 3rd generation in this line of work. Meaning his daddy put him on & his daddys daddy put him on lol always better to work with individuals who got it from the dirt, or at least have some sense of humility. These procedures take a major toll on ones mental & obviously physical well being, now i know to have more dignity for myself & seek out more compassionate professionals. I hope he doesnt treat those kids at Holy Cross the same way he treated me. Cmon jr 😂do better.
All praise to God.

I’ve never posted a review before but have to after my visit with Dr. Lahey. He was cold, mean, and had terrible bed side manner. I showed up to his office in tears hoping for some answers or relief from the excruciating paid id had for weeks and he was completely unhelpful. I was referred to him after a visit to the ER. People like him shouldn’t be doctors period.

New to the area and was referred to Dr Lahey from my brother n law. Called Monday and was pleasantly surprised with how quickly they could get me in. I Arrived early Thursday excited for much needed answers and relief.
Met Dr Lahey in the hall who was upset I was not in the room waiting where I had been already for more than 30 mins. I had to step out briefly for a ladies room break. His bed side manner was awful. He was rude and condescending. I did not feel comfortable at all. If I wasn’t in so much pain, i would have left immediately. He did regroup and change his attitude after I mentioned who referred me. The ladies working the front, were awesome.
I don’t typically do reviews but thought this was important. Maybe he was just having a bad day but it also may be why he had so many available appointments.
