  Amazing Job!! I love this place! I just moved to Dunedin and my dog was due for a groom! They did absolutely an amazing job and just what I asked for. I will be coming here regularly for his grooming needs. I also picked up some treats from the bakery while I was there and he loves them as well! His haircut looks awesome! Thanks!

  We have been taking Penny Lane, our Moyen poodle puppy to Woof Gang in Dunedin since January of this year. We also have spent hundreds of dollars on products at the store. Until last week Penny was groomed by 'Doodle Dave' once every 3-5 weeks until he left for another job a week ago. We comb and brush her daily as part of her routine between grooming appointments. (See photos below for her normal look) Because Dave had left Woof Gang, Penny was assigned to Carrie for her groom last Friday evening. Carrie shaved her down to nothing. (See photos below) We were totally blown away. Carrie claimed that Dave had not properly groomed her previously so this is what she had to do. Carrie had done one of Penny's first groomings at Woof Gang earlier this year - she did a good job but when we brought Penny the next time we decided to try Doodle Dave because we had heard good things about him. Penny loved him - he was gentle and kind and so we continued to ask for him. When I asked Carrie why she did this she said "You picked Doodle Dave so this is what you get." I don't know if she was just frustrated or having a bad day but what she did to Penny truly felt punitive and retaliative. I believe Carrie could have treated whatever areas under her chin and in her ears that Dave might not have fully managed as he should have without shaving her entire little body. For Carrie to say Penny was matted all over or even worse 'pelted' (a condition that occurs over a long period of neglect) is simply not accurate. It's important to note that Penny had been seen by her vet just 10 days earlier. When I showed the vet the pictures of what Carrie did she said there was no way Penny was matted and 'pelted' as Carrie claimed. The vet said she would most certainly have noticed that and would have called it to my attention. Penny had some knotted areas that needed attention but she was definitely not 'pelted.' We know her beautiful coat will grow back but there is no way Penny needed or deserved such a harsh and severe treatment. The tips of her ears are scabbed where they were nicked by Carrie's treatment. Her fur is uneven and patchy all over her body. It's as if she just carelessly hacked her. My purpose in writing this review is to prevent anyone else from having a similar experience. We love our wonderful delightful Dunedin and do everything we can to support local businesses but this is simply unacceptable and should never have happened. The attached first four pictures show Penny before her grooming by Carrie and then after Carrie 'groomed' her. The store manager was willing to reimburse us for Dave's previous grooming in August but frankly that does little to resolve this travesty. We can only hope Carrie will think twice before she does this again to anyone else.
