  We live in a house that's 105 years old. As we are getting older, we decided to remove the tub and replace it with a walk in shower. Getting in and out of a tub was becoming dangerous. We interviewed and got estimates from three different companies. Comparing the three, Wonder Showers and Baths was the clear leader. They were not necessarily the cheapest, but the quality of the material was perfect for our needs. They are solid and well built . Other companies claimed they could do it in one day. Maybe, but I question the quality of the work. Wonder was very upfront it would take at least two days (with us, it was two and a half days.) The installation crew, Ray and Bianca, were professional and very competent. Their work was amazing. The demolition, always a messy part, was quick and they cleaned up after themselves. The put in new plumbing as needed. There was an issue with a drain pipe that came loose. Totally not their fault - it is an old house - and they repaired it quickly. The final product is beautiful. It is big, comfortable and exactly what we needed. The quality of work is perfect. I would highly recommend Wonder for anyone who wants a conversion like this.

  04/28/2025 started WEEK 16 of demolition / installation of our 2 bathroom renovation. Contract was signed 11/06/2024 with an estimated completion in 4 to 5 DAYS from start of demo. We didn't get a good vibe from the used car salesmen approach from the start. His original estimate was outrageously high but then he started making phone calls to someone to get multiple discounts. Then he even pulled the "I can't guarantee these prices after I leave today" and "I'll step outside for 5 minutes so you can discuss" routines. We made our decision based on our excellent experience with Wonder WINDOWS, not on the WS&B salesman's presentation. Contract(s) were for 2 renovations, one to update a one piece tub/shower combo and the other for conversion of a soaker tub to a walk-in shower. Not small $'s contract(s) to sign. Demo started on the conversion 01/06/2025. On day 2, we identified that the shower door being installed was not correct, not the door we ordered nor the door that was on the contract. On day 4 we identified to the installers that the work in the bathrooms resulted in damage to the kitchen ceiling below the bathrooms. During WEEK 4, it was determined that the shower base was not properly installed resulting in the base feeling spongey, moving underfoot when standing in it. Attempts to fix were made by cutting a hole in the kitchen ceiling and trying to support the shower base from underneath. During WEEK 5, attempt was made to get us to settle for a different door which still was not like the one we ordered. Also, we were told that the holes in the shower wall surface that were created with installing the wrong door would be plugged with white plastic caps. The new wall surface was greyish. We expressed our displeasure with their proposed solutions. At the end of WEEK 6, WS&B representative determined that they had found so many flaws in the shower conversion that WS&B would demo the new conversion and start over ... in a few WEEKS !! Activity continued to repair kitchen ceiling. During this "down time", it was confirmed by WS&B that the plumbing connection to the tub spout diverter was incorrect, water was coming out of the shower head when only the tub was selected. By the end of WEEK 11, the new conversion was installed. To fix the tub spout diverter, a ~1' sq hole had to be cut in the hallway wall to access and repair the tub spout diverter. From WEEK 12 to current (04/30), there have multiple quick visits by WS&B employees to confirm and fix leaks around shower door, mud, sand and paint kitchen ceiling and hallway that was patched. We're still waiting for a replacement seal for the shower door which peeled off before using the shower and final painting. Once these have been completed, we can start repairing the additional damages incurred by the installers. Drywall mudding, priming, painting and replacement of baseboard molding because molding was just cut off an inch to nowhere and the profile of the molding cannot be replaced so the entire bathroom has to have new base molding. We haven't been PITA customers, we've been very patient and accommodating. This 16+ week episode has all been because of a salesman that will promise anything to get a sale, the incompetence of installers and the attitude of WS&B to not prioritize project completion and customer satisfaction. Is a rating of 2 stars too high ? Definitely not the quality as Wonder WINDOWS.
