With over forty-five years of experience, Winter Kennels can guarantee thorough and competent training for your hunting breeds. We primarily offer disciplinary coaching for bird dogs, gun dogs, pointers and retrievers, and snake avoidance (using non-poisonous reptiles), as well as general obedience instruction for those that have completed our more specialized programs. Winter Kennels also offers outdoor boarding for larger hunting breeds.

- SHS HJun 28, 20255.0My one year-old, 13 pound cockapoo took the snake safety class here. It was phenomenal! Felt a little traumatizing at the time, but we found a copperhead in our backyard a couple of nights ago. Magnolia steered straight away from it! Now, she's afraid to go in the garage where the boots and machete are located. Don't judge - we can't have another den of copperheads in our backyard after I was bit two summers ago. Thank you so much to Winter Kennels for helping us avoid another trip to the hospital, and even worse, a potential trip to the emergency vet. You were amazing! We will be back next year for a refresh. Literally, life saving!
- BPBlayre PenaJan 3, 20195.0We got our GPS from Cory a couple of months ago. She had previously trained him and when he turned two, his owner at the time decided he couldn’t keep him. We lucked out big time! Our GSP is well trained and extremely well mannered. He is great with kids and other dogs. We were impressed with her ranch set up. It’s a great layout for training dogs. She even put a few birds out so we could see our dog go to work. The way hunting dogs work is simply amazing. We have no hesitation taking our GPS back to Cory for a refresher training class, or any other dog for that matter, and would definitely get another dog from here.
