If you want your money to mysteriously go missing, this is the perfect place for you. After years of living here, I can say maintenance never fixes anything in a timely manner—and when they finally do, it still doesn’t work. Leasing agents come and go, often getting fired for shady or illegal behavior. On top of that, one of the maintenance workers has repeatedly harassed me and my kids, trying to enter our unit without notice—even after I told him I wasn’t dressed. I reported all of this, but management did absolutely nothing. Living here has been nothing but stress and disappointment. Avoid this place at all costs.

I lived at windy ridge for 2 years and have a lot to say. First off I want to start with the good. This was my children’s first home, the place I brought my daughter home from the hospital. We have a lot of beautiful memories in these apartments and for that I am grateful. Now for a very honest review. 1. Major roach infestation!!! If I could share the pictures I took of our roach traps I would. There were hundreds of roaches in our traps!! I kept our apartment very clean. I even sealed up as many cracks and holes as I could to keep roaches out and it was never enough. We’d find roaches in our refrigerator, our food, our beds, our couch, on us, EVERYWHERE!!! It was beyond disgusting. We had several roach traps, we had the place sprayed which did nothing, we kept it very clean, we did everything we could but we’d see and squish dozens of roaches each day. The whole place needs tented. 2. Neighbors. My downstairs neighbor had a huge problem with our existence to the point where she’d bang if she heard my baby girl walk, write us pages worth of letters to complain, stalked us, and made up lies about us in these letters. My 2 children never ran around inside. I talked to the front office and they wouldn’t do anything about it. They just said that if the neighbor didn’t like it then neighbor could leave. We were never ever unreasonably loud and always followed noise ordinance hours. It was ridiculous. I hated feeling like I had to walk on eggshells. This neighbor also stole packages and opened them. I had neighbors who would blast music in the middle of the night or would be jumping hard onto the floor in the middle of the night or hammering the walls past midnight. There were also some times where the kids around the complex would steal my tire air caps, key my car, leave trash on my car, write on my car. It was all really frustrating! My other neighbors were pretty great or kept to themselves. 3. Amenities. I tried the whole time I lived there to get a key fob to the apartments gym and each time they told me they didn’t have any. They did not take money off my rent, they did not have a solution other than they could let me in during office hours (which I was never available for due to work schedules). I have read other reviews saying they’ve lived here way longer than I did and they also didn’t have a key fob. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone ever use it so I don’t know if many tenants have a key fob. 4. False fire alarms. There were several occasions where the fire alarm would go off, usually in the middle of the night or late at night and we’d have to wait for the firefighters to come check everything and turn it off. It would wake my kids and terrify them. 5. Staff. Melissa was amazing!!! There was an incident where I was locked out and she came to check on me after her shift. She was always so kind and helpful. I don’t think she works at this location anymore but she deserves a shout out. 6. Rent. When I first moved in my rent was not bad compared to the surrounding area. $1322 for a 2 bedroom was great! They didn’t increase our rent the first year but before the 2nd year was up they let us know it would increase to $1566 which seemed ridiculous for low income apartments. Nearby apartments are becoming more affordable than low income housing. Overall I didn’t totally hate it at windy ridge but I think some big improvements could be done to make these apartments more livable and enjoyable.

I had a very disappointing experience with Windy Ridge regarding my $300 deposit. My husband and I applied in 2023, but despite multiple follow-ups, we never received our refund. When I contacted the new manager, Olga Hernandez, in January, she initially seemed helpful and asked for my updated address to send the check. However, months passed with no response. When I followed up again, she became upset and hung up on me. I also sent an email requesting management to contact me, but I never received a reply. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. If you're considering applying here, be aware that getting your deposit back may be a struggle. Poor customer service and lack of accountability make this a frustrating experience
