My husband and I went out while he was in town for a quick dinner and his food was amazing hot and made to order while my food was cold. My chicken tips were cold. The rice and peas were cold and hard. The only things that was on my plate that was hot was the cabbage and sweet potatoes. My husband told the server and he was happy to Remake my order to go wish I should’ve checked the bag because I didn’t have my rice n pea or plantains. I didn’t have my rice and peas that was hard to bite anyways had a half a container of Chicken tips and the two sides.. My husband obviously loved the food because his was made to order. He felt so bad that he was feeding me his food. Has potential as long as the food is made to order and make sure you check your takeout bag if they decide to make something to go for you because you’ll be missing items that you paid for. It was the gentleman that worked the bar that has the turquoise and pink gym shoes.

The little bit of food we had was good but unfortunately, we never got to taste more than the Soul Rolls. We had to ask for someone to take our order, and after an hour of waiting, we asked to pay our tab and leave. The staff said a manager would have to cash us out. Then they said our food was coming out. After another ten minutes, we once again asked to leave. Finally, after standing in the middle of the restaurant for a few minutes, we got to pay and leave, having had no dinner. Ninety minutes for some cokes and one app. Sad that we didn’t get to try more but won’t be back because service was appalling.

My partner ordered online from their website for pick up. Not uber. Not DoorDash. Their own website. We ordered a pork sandwich, everything in it, and one brisket sandwich, no pickles, no slaw. We received two brisket sandwiches, one with everything in it, and one with not even bbq sauce in it???? And they never put our fries in the bag either. What a rip off!!!! And we also ordered a peach cobbler. I’m sorry, do you not know what a cobbler is? This is something with an undercooked pie crust, and idk what it is. Tasted like raw flour 🥴🥴🥴 I’m being really generous with the 2 stars, and that’s because the brisket did taste fine, but I’m absolutely mortified that our order was wrong, incomplete, and that this is what they call a cobbler.

I was in town from Michigan. When I arrive, the escalator was broken to even come up to stairs to get to the restaurant so me and my husband had to climb the stairs to get to the restaurant that we were looking for. We made it lol. I ordered the jerk chicken egg rolls. They were completely burnt. The cook turned the burnt side at the bottom so I couldn’t notice. I spent $120 total. Every bite of our food was very overalled. I could not enjoy the meal at all. I ordered the oxtails with the rice greens and macaroni and cheese. Every bite was very very salty. My husband ordered the curry chicken. His dinner was over salted as well. I did let the waitress know. She just looked at me like I was crazy. I didn’t get any accommodation. I was offered some rib tips, which I don’t eat pork so that when I have worked for me.. I paid my entire tab because I didn’t wanna be in trouble, but I will not be back returning. The customer service was horrible even after I spoke upon my food how over salty it was. The gravy was salted. The meat was salted too much. The curry chicken was salted too much. We could not even enjoy our dinner. I had to pack it up both dinners and leave horrible experience. I will not be returning.

My sis and I came here last year for a special day got the ribs, chicken wings ,tips, links, soul rolls, greens and baked beans and the food was delicious which is why we decide to go back again for a special remembrance day and to make it yearly. However this time wasn't up to our expectations and a complete dive from what we had last time. This time we tried the jerk chicken dinner that I saw they added to their menu and that was delicious and decided to take our barbecue to go we felt there was no need to check our food before we left the bag was staple close, plus because it was so perfect last time felt no need to check. Boy was we wrong my ribs were burnt to a crisp, the tips were super tough couldn't eat none of it. We spent over $160 dollars and to have food that I couldnt eat was very disappointing. I tip the waitress 27 dollars gave her 20 cash and 7 dollars thru payment you can see on the faded receipt so money was spent all together it's not her fault the take out food was a waste...I have people that I keep recommending when they come in town to try them, but now I don't know. Update: Oct 16 2025 we went back and they made up for our take out food and this was like how I remembered nice and tender and tasted delicious. I am happy and satisfied we had a friend of our came and she order her food to go and she call said it was delicious. Me my sister was happy and I was doing my food dance 💃 Ps see the last three pics
