  My wife and I participated in the 11:30 AM tour today, Oct 22. It was lead and driven by Amanda and she did an excellent job engaging the participants like myself, she provided background on the Spainish horses background, some relevant history, and general history on northern outer Banks area. If you visit the area, pls partake in this tour by this company, you will be satisfied.

  Absolutely the best experience! Our guided horse tour on the beach was incredible from start to finish. Tyler was amazing! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole thing so much fun. You can tell this is a true family owned business that really cares about their guests and the horses. Riding through the sand and seeing the wild horses up close was something we’ll never forget. The Hummer ride out to the beach was a great bonus and added to the adventure. Highly recommend this tour, it was the highlight of our trip!

  Wild Horse Adventure Tours (W.H.A.T.) and their Humvees with individual seats is the group to use over other tours using trucks with bench seating. The ride was smooth, seats were comfortable, and everyone had amazing views. We had an AWESOME time. Our Humvee had ages from 5 to 75 and by the laughter, “oooohs & awes” for the horses, and shrills of joy riding the dunes, everyone had an amazing time. Our family enjoyed the Humvee ride and our Driver/Guide (Rick) as much as seeing the horses. If you’re expecting wide open dunes with horses running wild, like I was, depending on the season and timing, it might be a bit different than that, but is wonderful all the same. The land has been / is being developed with loads of rental properties, and given the season (fall, heading into winter), instead of galloping on the beach, most were in yards and the ‘neighborhoods’ eating as much as they could in prep for the winter. You’ll see from my pictures that the horses and scenery are beautiful. Rick did an awesome job giving both sides of the Humvee views with the best background and lighting he could muster while respecting the horses space and staying on the trails. It wasn’t his first rodeo and he definitely knows this land and loves it along with the herd of horses the land (mostly) belongs to. Lastly, you’ll also learn how W.H.A.T. is a strong supporter of the herd, conservation of it remaining wild, and the land being saved for them.   Our experience with Wild Horse Adventure Tours in Corolla was nothing short of incredible. This was a true bucket list adventure, and it exceeded every expectation. The open-air vehicles were comfortable and thoughtfully equipped — even with blankets to keep us warm on a brisk fall morning. Our guide, Jamie, was fantastic — kind, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the tour. We saw several wild horses roaming the dunes, and just when we thought the day couldn’t get better, we ended with two horses running freely along the beach. It was an unforgettable, truly magical moment. We can’t recommend Wild Horse Adventure Tours highly enough for anyone visiting the Outer Banks!

  TYLER was absolutely amazing. He truly makes this tour such an enjoyable experience. This was my second wild horse tour with Tyler and I would do a 3rd,4th, and 5th tour with Tyler. He has a such passion and knowledge about the horses that just is inspiring and admiring. He’s very kind and friendly and really goes out of his way to make sure everybody on his tour has a great time and is very comfortable throughout the entire ride. Tyler was a truly a one of a kind and excellent tour guide. I can’t wait to come back next year to do it all again and if I get the choice I will definitely ask for Tyler. He goes above and beyond and truly just makes this tour as amazing as he possibly can. His love for the horses and his passion for what he does is beautiful and very pure. Thank you Tyler and we will see you again next time.
