This was our 3rd time back this year for a stay at Wild Bear Inn. Absolutely Love staying here. The front desk staff always so pleasant and accommodating. The room has always been cozy and clean. It is so convenient if traveling back and forth between pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. Great views. We only live 2 hours away and simply Love coming here just to relax a few days and enjoy some good food. We have not ate at their on site restaurant except take them up on their free pancakes and scrambled eggs a few times which were Great. Friendly service. Cannot wait to come back. Thanks Wild Bear Inn staff for such Great service♥️

We booked this trip from a timeshare promotion so we had no choice in hotel. We just picked a destination and were assigned to the Wild Bear Inn. I read reviews prior to arrival so I was hesitant about our stay. We arrived around 6pm on Thursday. The employee in the lobby gave us our keys and assigned us a room on the first floor around the middle of the building. When we got there, we swiped the key and it turned green but the door wouldn’t open. After trying multiple times, I went back to the lobby and she gave me new keys and said if that didn’t work, she’d get maintenance over there. In the meantime, the maintenance man happened to be walking by and helped us get in the room and then changed the lock since it wasn’t a key issue. Shoutout to him! We didn’t even know what type of room we were getting as that wasn’t a choice with our promotion either. The room had 2 queen beds, a table with 2 chairs, a fridge, a microwave, a TV, a huge wardrobe and VERY LITTLE WALKING ROOM. The bathroom was so small and difficult to get into/out of the shower and dry off. Overall the room was clean. We didn’t utilize housekeeping (honestly I’m not even sure if it was an option). One thing I will say is that despite seeing people go into the rooms next to/above us, the noise level was minimal which was a huge plus. As for location, it was pretty much the end of the strip in Pigeon Forge aside from the new racing coaster. The parking lot was STEEP! The pool (though we did not use it) was kind of in the middle of the parking lot right off the street. I would have preferred the hotel to be set back a bit to be further from the hustle and bustle of the city, though it was not much different from the other hotels in the area. Not a bad hotel but if I went back, I’d prefer to rent a cabin off the beaten path.

I’m not usually a fan of older hotels, but I found a deal during peak season that fit our budget, and the reviews were solid enough that I decided to take a chance. We even paid extra for a parkway view, thinking we’d enjoy the fall foliage. Unfortunately, that “view” turned out to be the main highway running right through Pigeon Forge — loud, bright, and busy all night long. We paid extra for this, which felt like deceptive marketing. On the positive side, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. However, we had to help the toilet flush — not exactly what you expect, even from an older property. The breakfast (eggs and pancakes only, no breakfast meat) was as advertised but nothing special. If you go in knowing all of this and just want a budget-friendly place to stay during peak season, it’s a decent value. Otherwise, I’d spend a little more for something quieter and more accurately described.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Stay with Southern Hospitality My wife and I wanted a little weekend getaway and stumbled upon the Wild Bear Inn. The ladies up front were incredibly accommodating and polite — I had forgotten my license, but they were able to switch everything into my wife’s name quickly and without any hassle. The room itself was just fine. The facility is older, but you can tell they’ve updated what they can without losing that rustic mountain charm. Everything was clean, and the mattress looked brand new. The location is perfect — right at the end of the Pigeon Forge “strip,” so you’re close to everything but away from the heavy noise and traffic. Because it’s an older building, you might hear a little more sound between rooms, but that’s to be expected and not something the staff can control. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The service, cleanliness, and location make this a great spot for a relaxing weekend. We’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable getaway in Pigeon Forge.

The room was such a disappointment. It had that 'old motel' smell. You had to really shove on the door to open it. The shower water pressure was nice, but the toilet wouldn't flush unless you held the handle down. There was hair in the soap dish of the shower when we checked in, which is just gross. No closet, just a metal, wall mounted shelf with a bar for hanging clothes. Towels and sundries were on this shelf. There isn't an elevator or stairs, just rather steep ramps you have to walk up. Our room was on the third floor, and the light was burned out on the third ramp so it was rather dark at night. The beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, our room was not serviced during our three days stay. We were on a prepaid deal, or we would turned around and left. Definitely NOT a place we would recommend, or ever stay again.
