We had an incredible experience at this winery! That atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of charm – the perfect place to relax and enjoy some amazing wines. The owners were exceptionally personable and made us feel right at home. Their knowledge and passion for what they do truly stood out, and their pairing suggestions were spot-on. Every recommendation enhanced the tasting experience beautifully. Highly recommend visiting – this is a must- stop for anyone who appreciates great wine and genuine hospitality!

Love their wine and they have a beautiful new tasting room. Highly recommend visiting if you are in the Fredericksburg area.
Whatley Wines is everything you hope to find in Fredericksburg - warm hospitality, a beautiful setting, and truly exceptional wine. As a husband & wife owned winery, there's a genuine sense of heart and history in everything they do. Each bottle tells a story, and you can feel the passion behind every pour. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like old friends. The tasting experience with owner Melissa, was relaxed and personal, and we loved hearing the background behind each wine — whether it was inspired by a family memory, a special moment, the label was also designed to tell the story behind the wine. You don't just taste the wine here; you connect with it and the story behind it. Whether you're a local or just passing through the Hill Country, don't miss Whatley Wines. It's more than a tasting — it's a story and a family you'll want to be a part of.

We absolutely LOVED our experience at Whatley Wines. We can’t a couple days before their grand opening and had the best experience with Jennifer and Melissa. They tailored our tasting to our preferences and even hooked us up with a few special ones since we joined as members (even though we promised ourselves we were joining any new places that weekend).
They have a wide range of wines across the spectrum, with sparkling, rosé, whites, and reds to choose from. We did a red tasting and were blown away by how good the selection was. Personal favorites were the Malbec and Cab Franc. One thing we didn’t get to try (but definitely will next time) is their food! They do a wine and bites pairing and have other more substantial offerings if you are feeling hungry.
The aesthetic inside is also gorgeous; with a rustic chic vibe that makes a great backdrop for pictures. I highly recommend you give this place a try. They are on the opposite side of 290 from most wineries, but if you start or end your day there, I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
