DO NOT DO THE TIMESHARE TOUR.... I agreed for the discounted Anakeesta tickets, 3 night stay and $150 dollars. I was told it would take and hour and a half, my family and I would get a buffet for lunch and the above mentioned things. The buffet was 3 different pastas (no meat) and a salad (lettuce and cherry tomatoes). The meal was free, that was nice but not as described. The entire thing ended up taking 4 hours. We walked around the property and talked a long time. I had told the girl in the beginning I was not interested but she asked that I keep an open mind so I did. At the end the manager came over, he went from a $23,000 down payment and a $1700 monthly fee to a $300 down payment and $151 a month payment. I said no again... This was after 5 different offers being brought to me. A third guy came over and offered me another deal. I politely said no amount of money is in my budget, my only answer is no. I would never own a piece of property that I used 2 times a year with 20+ other people. After that, I was given my paperwork to go to the "gift room". I was not given the money but I did receive the Anakeesta tickets and the free stay for 2 nights, not 3 and no $150 as promised. I was OK with it because honestly i just wanted OUT of there. I hated every second of it. You have to really be firm over and over and over again. When you decline, you are treated like you are inept. Anyway, just a heads up to what you actually getting in to when you agree to this tour. Anakeesta was nice though haha! I will add that the girl that gave us the tour was very nice and was personable. She did a great job at selling the idea. She was never rude to me. The managers were just doing their job I guess of selling property but enough with the offers and pressure. No should be enough 1 or 2 times!

TRUCKER REVIEW CALL BEFORE YOU TRY AND PULL INTO THE RESORT!!! I drove in with a 53' trailer, and we had to stop traffic, and spend 40+ minutes to get it out. There is a gate you need to ask about, around the backside of the mountain! Ask about it! The guys led me all the way there, and up the mountain. You head into Gatlinburg, take a left at the first Shell station, and follow it around until you see a road that pinches off to the left, hard left, and up the road is a gate. Over all, great people to work with, CALL. CALL. CALL.

Westgate Smokey Mountain Oct 12-18 stay in building 7000. Attempted to check in at 4pm rooms not ready and they will text us when they come available. Entire lobby was full with people waiting for rooms. Had second floor room below a family with children all week. The lack of insulation between floors is terrible and not everyone can get the top floor. The garbage disposal was jammed, bathroom fan was cracked and made constant noise. The nightstand had two broken drawers. Kitchen had seven knives not one would slice a potato. Housekeeping brought us a paring knife as a replacement. The kitchen wasn’t stocked with anything except dish soap. No kitchen towels, pot holders or even trash bags. Yet our maintenance fees have increased 76% in the five years. With the two new cabins next to the 7000 building now open parking lot was always full and three vehicles without handicap authorization repeatedly parked in handicap spaces. No enforcement The new building 8000 was now open and I believe there are plans to build another 48 units in 2026 above the 8000 location. I must laugh at their annual newsletter with all the positive things being done. I’ve seen nothing but a decline in services and additional buildings when they can’t maintain existing facilities!

I strongly recommend not booking here or purchasing a timeshare at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort. Our family has been timeshare owners here for years, and it’s honestly disappointing how far the quality and care have fallen, especially given how much owners pay to stay here. Our most recent visit was unacceptable from the start. We walked into a room that had clearly not been cleaned. There were over 50 stink bugs inside the unit, piled along the inside curtains, not outside where you’d expect them. On the balcony, we found two used cigars, another clear sign that the room had not been properly inspected or serviced. We also have an 11-month-old daughter, and when we let her play on the floor, her hands became filthy within minutes. The wipes we used to clean the floor turned completely black, and we found long strands of hair and general dirt everywhere. To make matters worse, our TV remote didn’t work, and when maintenance came to “fix” it, the employee barged into our room around 10 p.m., speaking loudly and waking our baby. The level of professionalism was shockingly low. We reported all of this to staff and supervisors during our stay, yet nothing was resolved and no reimbursement or meaningful follow-up was offered. It’s clear that ownership and customer satisfaction are not priorities here anymore. This experience has made us completely rethink our ownership with Westgate. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the frustration, stress, and disappointment we did. For the amount of money invested in a timeshare, you should expect care, cleanliness, and respect, unfortunately, none of that was delivered here and on top of that the last talk we had with a higher up there only response was “sorry we hope you come back”.
