I want to say thank you to this hotel, as they really helped me on this trip. We booked through Priceline and paid extra for 2 queen beds. Priceline put our room in incorrectly and only booked us a queen bed. We were two bigger guys, so that wouldn’t work. The hotel was completely booked, but they worked some magic and got us into an acceptable room for the night. They then were able to move us the next night to a more accommodating room. Priceline was zero help, and the hotel went above and beyond to help us. The rooms and the location were very nice, and I would definitely recommend staying to anyone looking for a quiet place near grand central station.

What an amazing stay at the Westgate Hotel! My girlfriend and I were in New York for the 2025 Marathon, and I had planned to use this incredible trip to make my wedding proposal. I reached out to the hotel and Mr. Ryan to help organize this special moment — and Ryan and his team were absolutely extraordinary. They arranged our room beautifully and made this moment truly unique and unforgettable. Super available, incredibly helpful — I don’t know how to thank them enough, but thank you! I fully recommend this place: perfect location in New York and an outstanding team. Once again, thank you to everyone, and especially to Ryan for your help. We came back to France with stars in our eyes! ✨ ROOM 2211 will be forever in our hearts !

Pros: Great and accommodating front desk staff. Kevin and Tatiana were so friendly and professional. Great location and beautiful decor. Housekeeping promptly brought up replacements for empty items (but that is connected to a con below). Handwritten note from manager and cookies. Cons: The body wash and other items were completely empty in the shower upon check in. Our AC clunked every 10-20 min all night. Fridge cabinet door (between the beds) wouldn't close. The bagged breakfast is lackluster.

My recent stay at Westgate New York Grand Central was exceptional from start to finish. The location couldn’t be better, moments from Grand Central yet tucked away enough to feel calm and comfortable. The rooms are beautifully designed, spacious, and full of thoughtful touches. What also really stood out, was the warmth and friendliness of the team. A truly memorable New York stay with my daughter, 10/10 and can’t wait to return. Thank you❤️

Very very loud, was woken up every two hours because of either the AC unit or a door closing on the floor that would make the whole unit shake (highly discourage anyone with small children or pets from staying here for this reason alone). Room was more depressing than a prison cell. It was so dark (one window immediately facing an apartment kitchen) and one lamp - no ceiling light. No rug or decor - just a single dim lamp on cold hard floors.Advertised as a one-bedroom suite but it's just a room with a door - no kitchenette, no microwave, no ceiling lights. Guests are unable to contact the front desk directly. Twice I needed a simple request from the front desk, but the landline redirects to a call center that adds a middleman to talk to the front desk for you and have to call you back?? I just needed to call bell desk to get help with my luggage and was waiting for 10+ mins, till I carried them down myself in two trips and even then the bellman was so rude and unhelpful - not even asking me for help or opening the doors.
