My recent stay at Westgate New York Grand Central was exceptional from start to finish. The location couldn’t be better, moments from Grand Central yet tucked away enough to feel calm and comfortable. The rooms are beautifully designed, spacious, and full of thoughtful touches. What also really stood out, was the warmth and friendliness of the team. A truly memorable New York stay with my daughter, 10/10 and can’t wait to return. Thank you❤️

Very very loud, was woken up every two hours because of either the AC unit or a door closing on the floor that would make the whole unit shake (highly discourage anyone with small children or pets from staying here for this reason alone). Room was more depressing than a prison cell. It was so dark (one window immediately facing an apartment kitchen) and one lamp - no ceiling light. No rug or decor - just a single dim lamp on cold hard floors.Advertised as a one-bedroom suite but it's just a room with a door - no kitchenette, no microwave, no ceiling lights. Guests are unable to contact the front desk directly. Twice I needed a simple request from the front desk, but the landline redirects to a call center that adds a middleman to talk to the front desk for you and have to call you back?? I just needed to call bell desk to get help with my luggage and was waiting for 10+ mins, till I carried them down myself in two trips and even then the bellman was so rude and unhelpful - not even asking me for help or opening the doors.

I’m a frequent traveler to NYC and have stayed at many of the wonderful hotels the city has to offer. I prefer the midtown location. I initially found Westgate through a third party random internet deal. The staff at the Westgate is a difference maker. Everyone there made be feel like I belong. Friendly and engaging. The location is perfect! Special appreciation for Chafik, Nikolai, Sam, Matthew and Kevin. Apologies for those my memory failed. Be sure to strike up a conversation. They are good peeps. Enjoy the City !! Then relax at the bar back at the hotel 👍

I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. The location is absolutely unbeatable—easily walkable to so many of NYC’s best neighborhoods, attractions, and restaurants. Whether we were heading out for a day of exploring or a night on the town, everything felt just steps away. The hotel itself was spotless, stylish, and comfortable, but what really made the experience stand out was the staff. Everyone we encountered was warm and professional, but I want to give a special shoutout to the doorman, Matthew. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of—always ready with a smile, helpful advice, and genuine hospitality. Truly, not a single complaint. If you’re looking for a fantastic place to stay in New York City, this is it. We’ll definitely be back!
