It could be a 5 star but I'd give it a 3.5ish I'll start with the positive. The rooms are very clean the hotels location is prefect it's within 20 minutes from most Disney and Universal parks. The view here is beautiful with a lake and pier outback with many swimming pools and water slides it's great for kids and adults I could go on with all the good things about this place but let's get to the downside. I can absolutely not stand extra fees when I get to a hotel. The only thing I should be paying is the 50 deposit fee! I get here and as if I haven't spent enough already I get hit with having to pay $196 for resort fees. All that should be included when I book online like I had to pick up a rental car that I paid online in full then had to pay them a $300 deposit $68 for a toll pass and $75 for insurance so I was already mad about that then had to come here and push out another $196 So they lost a star there also I show up with a good bit off cash that I wanted to get rid of and no places here takes cash also in wasn't the greatest experience coming in. The staff was friendly but seemed like they were depressed or maybe the front entry was depressing idk just felt off so between that and not being able to use cash anywhere lost them another star. Otherwise everything else was fine.

This is easily the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I should’ve booked a Comfort Inn, but this was affordable and conveniently located for a work trip I am taking. I am a mother to a little boy and he had to come with me on this trip, so I had called to specifically request a highchair in a pack and play. I did that with the intention of it already being available in the room before I got here because I knew it would be very very late by the time I got in. The check-in experience was a little bit grueling and it looked like they were shortstaffed upfront or maybe it’s because it was late when I got here, but it took a very long time probably 20 minutes of me standing with my toddler trying to keep him busy. The People helping with check-in were really kind and bubbly and warm and they were very understanding and I really appreciated that, once I did get to my building, which took forever to find, I realized there was no parking so high, by myself had to haul two giant duffel bags a stroller and a two-year-old, who doesn’t listen very well. So after going Through the parking lot and up three floors at this point, my arms are throbbing from all of the weight I’m carrying, I enter the room and am immediately looking for a pack and play or a highchair. None of which were in the room, so I called the front desk and they said that they would be up in two minutes. They literally said two minutes. So I’m getting my toddler, showered and cleaned and I start to get his pajamas ready and that’s when I scratch my leg with a piece of metal that is hanging off of an open drawer. This was obviously broken, you can see that it’s broken and I have a scratch. It’s not bad or anything. It’s just annoying. I thought this was supposed to be a resort/spa type of situation, this is worse than comforting. I would like all of my money back to go stay at Comfort Inn because at least with comfort Inn I know exactly what I’m getting and they have a mini fridge And a little kitchenette, which is exactly what I was wanting to save a little money on food. After all that it’s now almost 3 AM, I did call a second time for the highchair and pack and play and they said oh they’ll be right up in a couple minutes and I said well you have like an exact ETA and he said he’s not allowed to give exact ETA? Then why would you say two minutes? That’s so weird? I really want all of my money back I’m really disgusted by this whole situation and it doesn’t seem like anybody wants to do anything to make it right. I am beyond disappointed, and I will probably never have any positive recommendation to come here ever

I stayed at the Westgate resort and spa for my birthday this past weekend. I got there at 9:10 to an outrageously long line that was moving slower than molasses. When I did get to the counter the young lady that helped was AMAZING. She was super sweet, professional, and personable. She was dressed in an amazing purple suit that night. I don’t remember her name, but I definitely appreciate her kindness. I visited the spa and had an absolutely amazing time. The amenities were fully stocked. Everyone who worked there was super friendly and professional. The masseuse Pamala that work with me definitely had blessed hands. By the time I left I felt and looked aglow. For sure I’d come back if only to go back to this spa. Now my room on the other hand was AWEFUL. Outside of my balcony were 4-5 black bodies covered in white sheets hanging from their necks/ankles. These bodies lead to an outrageous amount of people stopping, staring, taking pictures, and then singing Strange Fruit. Black bodies literally swinging in the southern breeze. I am actually amazed how many people still know this song so well. What is worse is that most of the of the groups stopping to do this were in fact white and when they saw a black couple (My partner and I) sitting on the balcony promptly began singing AT them. These “decorations” lead to us being tormented and traumatized all weekend. We went to the desk to say something but nothing was done. The only good thing about this balcony is that I got a fireworks show every night at 2200-2220. Next, the bed had hair in it, and the room itself had a roach infestation. They were crawling in my food on the counter. Then we saw 2 more come from behind the tv. I called the from desk, and as soon as I said something about the roaches the lady hung up. I called back. The Second Lady sent pest control and a bell hop was supposed to come remove me from the room. I waited 4 hours before pest control came. The bellhop never came. So I packed my room and left. I stopped at the Draft bar and grill on the way out for lunch. I shouldn’t have. I walked in and stood there waiting to be seated for 35 minutes in a mostly empty restaurant to be seated. The waiter finally came over when I called out to him specifically and seated me. I had plenty of time to look at the menu while I waited. I sat down and immediately put my whole order in. The drink took 10 minutes but my food took 45 minutes to come for it to be half cold. The pina colada had huge chunks of ice in it. This restaurant had for 4 tables outside and 3 in but the food was taking so long to come out still. All of the menu options come with specific sides. They do NOT allow substitutions but you can pay for their small overpriced sides. They WILL charge you for any change to your food. The waitress suggested grilled onions and peppers on my Philly cheesesteak sandwich but happily neglected to say that the onions and peppers will be a $2 per up charge. So I paid $6 for onions, peppers, and bbq sauce. My virgin pina colada cost $8 and the Philly with fries cost $17. The sandwich did taste good. It was just half cold. Warnings DO NOT ORDER THE STEAK. Disappointing and overpriced is what it is. $39 for the steak with fries or mashed potatoes and less than 2oz of slaw. The steak was tasteless, tough, and over cooked. Overall, I’d definitely come back for the spa but the rooms, and Drafts restaurant, I definitely wouldn’t pay to stay here again.

Open smoking of marijuana, blunts, etc. in front of and with young children present. Open smoking of the devil's weed in the room adjoining our room. Come for the view, leave with a contact high and severe headache! If you are an active drug user this may be your vacation paradise but wasn't our cup of tea. My wife and I recently stayed to celebrate our daughter's 21st Birthday. We got a two bedroom updated room with a screened in porch. Sorry to the "owners" as we understand you only get the outdated rooms. We had agreed to attend the 90 minute presentation however we consider ourselves "professional timeshare" attendees therefore know what not to say and more importantly what to say to avoid being held hostage - anytime after 90 minutes we call 911 for help. Do not buy a time share - instead buy the very inexpensive weekend packages, practice your best Amy Winehouse (No, No, No), and physically walk out after 90 minutes. Yes, even if that means leaving behind whatever worthless / meaningless gift you were suppose to get because you will avoid a lifetime of maintenance fees and a 10 to 15 year 17.99 percent property purchase interest rate. By the way, when you attend the 90 minute presentation, you have to park about a quarter to a half mile away from the main building. This is important to know because the entire 90 minute presentation does not take place where you park your vehicle. Instead, the 90 minute presentation requires you to get in a golf cart to tour the site, and then are brought to the main building approximately 1/4 to 1/2 mile away from your car. After the final presentation you are told to go out the main entrance, and a shuttle will take you back to your car. Liars. After waiting 15 minutes for no shuttle to arrive, we finally got a security supervisor to shuttle us back to our vehicle. We provided a nice tip to the supervisor for his hospitality. You would think there would be a dedicate shuttle to bring people back to their vehicle. Anyway, the resort was overpacked, and yes the shuttle service is not the greatest. During the late afternoon, early evening hours, we decided to stroll the property. The views were lovely although the noise from the I-4 traffic was very noticeable. While walking the property, we encountered numerous instances of individuals openly smoking illegal marijuana. The worse case were the two women with a young child (3 - 5 years old), openly smoking their bad smelling blunts. However this was just one of numerous examples encountered on the walk. The smell of bad "gancha" was coming from the outdoor grill and fire pit areas as well as from the screened in patios. The kicker was when we were loading our car on Sunday morning around 9 am when the room adjacent to ours decided to invite Cheech and Chong over for an all-out smoke out. We finally reached Customer Service and was advise that the smoking of medical marijuana was permitted however we later find out that statement isn't true and that smoking of marijuana on property was prohibited. It is too bad that security nor many of the team don't know that and enforce the no smoking of dope rule so that non-dope smoking guests may stay healthy and safe. Perhaps having a Sheriff's substation or patrol car on property would be helpful? We went to the "Compass" room that has no bathroom, and the ceiling was covered in what appeared to be flammable cotton balls. Lots of potential life and fire safety concerns in what appeared to be a converted maintenance shed. The two bright spots were George (our time share presenter) as he correctly assessed our non-interest and facilitated our escape at the 90 minute mark. The second bright spot was the bartender Natalie at the on-site sports bar. Her service and conversation were first rate. However, even the "bright spots" would never convince us to return to this property. Our advise, stay away!

So, I found this place online and like anyone else who is going to the theme parks and paid a high price for tickets wants a good deal on a nice place to stay. Well the ad first of all was very misleading it let's you book the reservation but than tells you, you need to call a number to confirm your reservation. Than thats when you find out you have to sit through a 90 minute presentation and afterward you'll be rewarded with a $100 visa giftcard and you're room rate will remain the same. OK.. However if you don't go the price of your room goes up for not attending. Anyhow I found a room that was slightly higher in price elsewhere and we tried to cancel within a week and they said we would be charged for the whole stay if we chose to cancel. So, by this time we were forced into keeping the reservation. We changed the time of our presentation from 11:00 on Saturday to 8:00am. They told us go to the Welcome Center. Well, the night before we had gone to Halloween Horror Nights and got back around 1am and there was no parking anywhere near our unit. So, inconvenience #1 I had to park in the garage which is at the front of the resort and was told a shuttle could take me to my unit which was towards the back of the resort. Now supposedly this shuttle ran every 15 minutes but I had yet to see one when I was there earlier in the day. So, instead of waiting around at what was now 1:20am I walked all the way back to my building. I got back to my unit by 1:31am. Then I woke up for this sales presentation that was supposed to take place for 90 minutes well after being told it was at the welcome center I get there. Mind you I had to walk to the main building because my car was parked in the garage which is also in the front and the shuttle is nowhere around. We go to the Welcome Center and they tell us oh no your presentation isn't here its all the way at the other end of the resort. So, since the shuttle is nowhere to be found once again. We end up just walking to the garage and picking up my car and driving to the other end. When they register you for the presentation your forced to put spousal information before it let's you move forward. Well my father is deceased and before that my parents were divorced. Than they tell you they'll come get you for breakfast and after you eat breakfast than they'll start the presentation. I said well what if we don't want to eat breakfast? We were told oh you don't have to and they'll just start the presentation. Well than the salesman comes out and he says we'll get breakfast and start the presentation. I told him the same thing. Now for reference I had kids in the room still sleeping and still had to get them something to eat. He said well I have to get my things and I want to grab a bite so we were almost forced to eat. Anyways the guy starts his sales pitch which started about 8:30 and we walked out 11:30. So, after being lied too about a 90 minute tour that actually took 3 hours and after seeing 1 salesman, 2 Managers, and some other guy they finally let us go. This after we had been told ,"we're not going to cram it down your throat". "IT" being the selling of the timeshare. Meaning 4 people and 5 deals , multiple "NO's, and 3 hours later we were finally released to keep the room rate and to get a wapping $100 gift card. Furthermore after being released from the rather long presentation instead of being taken back to where my car was parked at we were told to catch this ghost shuttle back to the other end of the property where we started so, I can get my car back. So, we're waiting at the shuttle area and a shuttle pulls up and drops someone off and just sits there. The lady driving had to be asked to take us somewhere. Not too mention when we got to the condo it was Beautiful and supposedly a newer remodeled place however the guest bathroom doors have issues. One door lost the inside handle and the sliding door to the other ,well that one lost the whole piece that locks the door. Called maint. I really have no complaints with the condo as it is Beautiful. DO NOT STAY HERE.
