The staff here seem to be very standoffish compared to other great veterinary offices I've been to. Even over the phone they're rude. Not warm and comforting like a vet should be. Very $$ based. They seem to care much more about $ than helping the animals. Will not be returning here

We’ve been sending our dog and cat there for vaccines, baths and boarding over these years.
Recent boarding wasn’t very pleasant.
One, they stayed in for 5 days and we didn’t get any pictures or messages/videos on how they were doing. Even though we requested before dropping off. The receptionist said she would see what she could do, and never a word.
Every time after our dog gets picked up to home, she would drink so much water as if she just finished a marathon. We explicitly told the clinic this situation happened before and this time they said they would give her extra water. When we got her this time, she ran straight to water bowl and drank so much water. I’m not sure how they were fed in there now.
The bath+conditioner that was given to our dog, was literally like no bath at all. She did not smell like just being given a bath(just a bit scent of shampoo, really mild).

My veterinarian retired but I continued using his office for the life of that pet. Now I have a new puppy and wanted to find a more conveniently located veterinarian. Dr Joyce and her staff are polite, efficient, and willing to answer or find the answers to my questions. I appreciate the ability to purchase meds(heart worm etc...) monthly or multiple months at the time to accommodate if needed. My puppy is a bit skiddish and somewhat shy. They have been gentle and patient with him and we have had a great experience!

I can’t say enough great things about West Marietta Vet Clinic! They took such wonderful care of my dog, Belle, and made the entire experience stress-free for both of us. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about animals. The vets were thorough, gentle, and patient—taking the time to explain everything and make sure Belle was comfortable every step of the way.
It’s such a relief to know that Belle is in good hands. She’s usually nervous at the vet, but everyone here treated her with so much kindness that she actually seemed relaxed. I’m incredibly grateful for the level of care and professionalism we received.
Highly recommend West Marietta Vet Clinic to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate place for their pets!
I am typically a non-confrontational person, but I must say I am sincerely disappointed with this experience. The lack of 5 stars should have been enough of a warning. Came here early to drop her off around 8:15-ish, as per their “drop off” system. First, the hygiene in the front desk area was already disgusting, they had cloth seats in a pet area? That obviously isn’t cleaned because the odor was terrible. Additionally, it was not communicated how long it would take, nor how the process worked….
8 hours
EIGHT HOURS
and they had still not called telling us to pick her up. We make the call ourselves, wondering if they were done and had maybe forgotten to inform us, but no. Turns out that after 8 hours of her being there the only thing they had done was shave and wash her. Actually no they didn’t even finish FULLY shaving her, claiming she was too matted. Mind you, we had washed her a few days before because she had gotten dirty, and detangled her ourselves, leaving just her nether region untouched to leave to the professionals. We demanded that she come out and we see her before they start charging, and she had not even been properly cleanly shaped. The shave was on her body jagged, her nails I trimmed, and she wasn’t styled. To top it off, they said she had FLEAS. Even though I had bathed her before, and had never seen any on her prior to this visit. Then we elaborated this timing issue with the clerk, as it interfered with work, only for her to state, “I can’t speak for anyone else but I don’t schedule appointments on my work days.” Yup, definitely won’t be coming back, and I recommend you don’t come at all.
