  The Waterman Grille is a top-notch venue! I cannot say enough amazing things about the location, atmosphere, food, drinks, and the staff. After many lovely dinner dates here, my husband and I decided to host our wedding in The River Room venue. We had the most amazing time! Everything from booking the event with Tina, to planning and coordinating the details with Alivia, to working with the staff to setup, host, and clean the venue for our wedding was smooth and well executed. Alivia put me at ease through the whole planning process. She was a great listener, an excellent communicator, and her attention to detail was impeccable. It was a pleasure working with the entire staff during the event (especially Corey who did a wonderful job managing the event) and our family and friends were so happy with their food, service, and celebratory dance party. Five-stars all around!

  We attended a wedding at their function hall. The service & staff were fantastic. The food was delicious! The view on the river was pretty. I would go there for dinner if I was in the area again. I'd recommend it to anyone if I knew they were going to be near the area.

  I just had my birthday here with John as my server. Everything about the experience was amazing. The hen was delicious, the service was warm and prompt. Thank you John for an excellent and memorable birthday evening! Great time.

  I stayed in the Wayland Square area for a month. Ate almost every meal out as a solo diner. It gave me a chance to sample almost every restaurant within walking distance. This place beats every restaurant in the area. The menu might look more expensive than the rest, but it felt like an outstanding value. As you approach the place, the aroma of wood smoke gives you a great first impression. The greeting at the door was welcoming and professional. I dined at the bar, ordering the hanger steak accompanied by broccolini and fingerling potatoes. The bartender was incredibly busy but somehow always attentive to each guest. Most of the guests were having mixed drinks and dinner, and she was also hustling as the service bartender. So gracious and professional. The food was delicious and satisfying. It was exactly how I would have wanted it to be. And, they had no trouble acknowledging and observing a food allergy. Even though it was packed the noise level was moderate. And, the bathroom was spotless. I’m not easily satisfied. I was extremely happy with the experience. They do everything right.

Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, with a nod to local ingredients that elevated the classics without overwhelming the palate. Our server was attentive and full of genuine enthusiasm for the menu, making spot-on recommendations without a hint of pushiness. If you’re in Providence craving a meal that’s equal parts delicious and scenic, Waterman Grille is an absolute must. It’s not just dining; it’s an experience that leaves you lingering a little longer by the river. Five stars—I’ll be back soon!
