Paul Johnson, the lawyer whom I worked with, set me up with so much success in the realm of emotional support that I cannot express enough of my heart-felt thanks. We had so much down to earth conversations in between our deliberations, and most importantly he was honest about how all this works. Essentially, getting a DUI is an incredibly idiotic thing to do, and you must reexamine your life and change who you are to get past it. Paul helped me so immensely in the early months of my sobriety and talking to him about it was so uplifting. During that last court date, where we got everything sorted out what he told me in person really hit home. He told me that he saw that I was a person willing to change and accept what I did. That alone has continued to drive me to sobriety to this day. Its odd to describe a service in such an emotional way, but honestly the entire process has a lot of emotion to it.
