You’re paying much extra for the landscape.
Tsk, Tsk, Tsk… Greedy, Greedy Greedy!
(As you will see in many reviews)
Walton on the Chattahoochee looks beautiful from the outside, but don’t be fooled—you’re basically paying for the landscaping, not the apartments. The units themselves are small, outdated, and definitely not worth the price tag. They try to upsell you on “upgraded appliances,” but really that just means you’re paying for their renovations.
What’s even more frustrating is that you can’t actually tour a 2-bedroom because they hide behind the excuse of having “so many different floor plans.” Instead, they act like you should feel lucky just to be considered for a lease here. For the price they charge, you’d expect modern finishes, renovated interiors, and better service, but instead you get shoddy, non-renovated apartments with leasing staff who seem entitled and out of touch with the fact that rates here are significantly higher than nearby communities.
At the end of the day, you’re not paying for a quality home—you’re paying for the landscaping and riverfront view. If you want an actual nice apartment for the money, there are much better options nearby.

Elementary school teacher here! 🙋♀️ I really enjoyed yoga on the river—such a beautiful and peaceful spot. The grounds are lovely, and we loved being able to launch our tubes and paddle boards right from home. The mountain biking nearby is also incredible—tons of scenic trails just a short ride away.
That said, we did have some challenges. Our AC went out during the peak of summer ’24, and while a neighbor received a new unit, we had ongoing issues. One of the problems was a recurring leak that got so bad our downstairs neighbor eventually moved out. Communication with the community manager felt inconsistent, and at times, a bit personal.
The apartments themselves are older, and noise carries easily—we could hear nearly everything going on in neighboring units, which made it difficult to fully relax at times.
Unfortunately, we also experienced theft—my catalytic converter and my husband's bicycle were stolen from the property on separate nights.

I have been living at Walton on Chattahoochee for 3 weeks so far.
I have numerous issues / complaints, none are being dealt with correctly or at all.
1st) my apartment flooded on Wednesday night July 30th 2025. Walton wanted their storage unit addressed before my unit even though my unit takes 10 mins compared to the hour for their storage unit. Unacceptable.
Then I learned that this unit had been flooded before,
They were upset that I found that information out, when I brought it up, their response was,
“ did you inquire about the flooding ?”
My response,
No I did not. Didn’t know I needed to.
Also unacceptable.
They are offering $100 credit (cool but missing the point here).
I’d like to know if I am breathing in mold particles. That is all really.
Today , a community manager stopped by to talk. She tested the air to see if we can get a mold test , it exceeded the number required to order a mold test but she wants to come back and test again.
For whatever reason that was unacceptable and needs to be redone. She did inform me no mold testing was done after the first flooding. Super unacceptable.
There are several other small issues I am also having but again just need this one handled asap and I’ll be happy to remove this review.

By the best apartment experience I’ve ever had. It is super dog friendly, great for outdoor activities, the coffee shop is amazing and the community is wonderful. Extremely professional and hospitable staff too.

This place is a joke. Greedy and completely mismanaged.
