(There is another review here by an opposing party to Nathan (Lisa Gardner), I don’t think this is an appropriate review considering she never utilized his firm)
My wife and I worked with Nathan Wall for our adoption case. Nathan was incredibly knowledgeable, informative, and confident in our situation. We happily paid for our situation to be taken care of. The short amount of time afterward was silent, but rest assured, Nathan and his assistants are hard at work on your case. We got our court date to go over and finalize the adoption case, Nathan arrived and represented us of course. He went over everything for us prior to heading in before the judge, and made everything a breeze for us.
Nathan Wall is a great lawyer, if you have troubles reaching out to him, I’d highly recommend shooting an email to him, reach out directly to his assistant or directly to him! My family is grateful to finally be completed thanks to his hard work. I do recommend you utilize this firm!

In my experience with Wall & Wall law I worked with Nate and his assistant Morgan. They both always made me feel heard and validated, while always being open and honest in the ways the law could my kids. They also respected the fact that money was a concern of mine but I was willing to do what it took to help my children, that being said they didn’t waste my money by talking to me about every little thing, in trusting this process my children now will have a better future. Nate and Morgan’s hearts are in the right place and their integrity is what helped my children get what they deserved. Forever grateful for them!

** BEWARE** Do not ignore the 1 star reviews. Nathan Wall was horrible to work with. He acts as if he is interested, gets your money, then disappears. He failed to respond to an expert witness report, got with the opposing counsel and stipulated without my approval to extend discovery 5 months and introduce an improper and baseless petition to modify custody. My petition to modify support was ready for trial. His actions severely prejudiced me and have caused enormous harm to me and my children. He made promises and never took action. He was never available. Any time I had a call scheduled, it would suddenly fall through. He ignored dozens of emails and really only responds to text message. He failed to submit subpoenas, failed to respond to supplemental discovery, did not build my case, even as I was providing him with drafts and asking him to take actions. He then withdrew when I told him I didn't trust him to attend a second mediation. It's like he plans to coerce you into settlement at mediation, and if you aren't manipulatable, he runs. As others on here have commented, it's like he's working for the opposing party. You think you are hiring someone to represent your position and take care of you, you trust him, and he neglects you and stabs you in the back, then blames you. Typical narcissistic behavior. I have to strongly recommend you don't work with these people. Literally, any other attorney will be better than Nathan, there are other poor attorneys, but he is bottom of the bucket. I interviewed dozens of attorneys after he left, and he's got a reputation. Don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews left by family and friends. Within minutes of posting this review he sent me a threat of defamation lawsuit letter and had a friend post a 5 star review. What a joke!
Frequently Asked Questions About Wall & Wall Attorneys At Law PC
Can You Get a Divorce Without a Lawyer?
Yes, you can. Wall & Wall offers a free 30-minute consultation to help guide clients through the process of self-representation. DIY divorce assistance from Wall & Wall is an option that combines the low-cost of a do-it-yourself divorce with expert assistance.
How Do I Start the Divorce Process?
As the petitioner, (the one who starts the proceedings) you must complete a set of documents and file them with the district court in your county. If you hire a divorce attorney, he or she will prepare and file those documents for you. A budget-friendly option is to seek legal guidance for filing for divorce.
How Long Does a Divorce Take?
In Utah, there is a 90-day waiting period between the time the petition is originally filed and the date a judge signs the final divorce decree. However, disagreements over assets, child custody, alimony, and other issues can delay a divorce for many months or even years.
When is a Divorce Final?
If there are no appeals, a divorce becomes final when the divorce decree is filed by the Clerk of the Court, typically the same day the judge signs the decree.
What Questions Should I Ask a Divorce Lawyer?
To take the best advantage of a free consultation, it’s a good idea to come prepared with a list of questions. Ask about the fee structure, is it fixed or by the hour? How long will the divorce take? This answer depends on many factors, but an attorney can at least provide a reasonable expectation. How will the property be dispersed? Who will maintain custody of the children? It’s important to have a realistic view of your state’s custody laws before proceeding.
Is Mediation Required in Utah?
Yes, both parties are required to attend at least one mediation session under Utah law. Though mediation is a valuable tool, when it comes to divorce mediator vs. lawyer it’s important to remember that mediators cannot offer legal advice or advocate for your legal rights; only a lawyer can do that.
Do You Need a Lawyer to Get a Divorce?
No, the state of Utah does not require a lawyer to get divorced. However, an attorney knows the state laws and the legal system to make sure you get what you’re entitled to and knows when and where to file documents so that deadlines get met on time. If you and your spouse disagree on property disbursement, child custody or other major issues, trying to negotiate a do-it-yourself divorce could turn into a long, costly and stress-filled nightmare. A divorce attorney is there to protect your rights, make sure you’re treated fairly, and that everything is handled correctly.
How to Choose a Divorce Lawyer?
First, a divorce lawyer should have experience and knowledge about the state they practice in. A representative you feel comfortable with and can communicate easily with is also important. Divorce proceedings sometimes take an unexpected turn, so an attorney who can be available when needed and represent your interests is vital. If you’re searching for a Salt Lake City divorce lawyer, or any divorce attorney in Utah, don’t hesitate to ask for a free consultation before making an appointment.
How Much Does a Divorce Cost?
One of the most common questions when consulting with a divorce attorney is how much does a divorce attorney cost. It’s important to remember there are many costs involved besides lawyer fees. If any issues are contested or if the case ends up going to trial costs will be higher. If both parties are in agreement to the divorce terms, an uncontested or Flat Rate Divorce is the simplest and least costly option. A Flat Rate divorce can cost as little as $1,000, including legal services and filing fees.
