I normally don’t leave reviews, but this experience was so upsetting that I feel the need to warn others.
Recently, my mom and I went to Voski Jewelers for the first time to repair her gold jewelry (2 chains, 1 pendant, and 1 gold ring with pearl). On the first day, the service seemed fine and we agreed on $150 for the work, with pickup scheduled for the following Tuesday.
When we came back on the promised date, things completely fell apart. The staff told us the jewelry wasn’t ready and blamed us for not calling ahead—though we were never told to do so, nor was it written on the ticket. After asking for whatever items were finished, they handed us someone else’s jewelry before finally finding ours.
The problems didn’t end there:
- The two gold chains came back thinner, and one was a noticeably different color. When asked, staff gave no real explanation.
- The pendant was not properly set inside the chain as we had clearly requested.
- The pearl ring was not polished as agreed. The technician mentioned that he didn't had enough time, but we still paid full price.
- The staff suddenly claimed the total cost was $200, but then said they were “giving us a discount” so it would be $150. ($200 was never mentioned during the first visit.)
Worse than the poor workmanship was the treatment we received. The staff became aggressive, raised their voices, used rude body language, and argued with us instead of listening. At one point, they even withheld the jewelry and told us to call the cops or return with the manager. This was humiliating, especially since this jewelry holds sentimental value for my mother—it includes her wedding pieces.
In the end, we paid $159 (including an extra $9 tax we hadn’t been told about), just to leave with her jewelry. But the entire interaction was hostile, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I started crying when I got to my car.
To the owner/manager:
I urge you to review your cameras from 8/19/25 and watch how your employees treated us. Their behavior—aggressive, dishonest, and uncaring—is unacceptable. Unless changes are made, these employees will drive your business into the ground.
I will NEVER return here and CANNOT recommend Voski Jewelers to anyone. If you value good service, honesty, and respect, please take your business elsewhere.
I dropped off 3 rings three weeks ago. All 3 needed resizing, and one also needed repairs. At the time, I was told it would be a week, maybe a little longer, up to 10 days for the repairs. After nearly two weeks, I called on a Thursday, and was told that someone would get back to me the following Tuesday with an update. No one called. I called back again the next week Thursday (just shy of 3 weeks). I was told that 1 ring still was not ready. I was also told that someone would follow up with me on Friday. When I asked if it would be the next day Friday, or the following week, it was just reiterated that someone would get back to me when the rings were ready for pickup. I picked up the 3 rings the next day Friday. The work was absolutely beautiful, however, 1 ring was sized incorrectly. I'm pretty sure we agreed on a size 7 when I dropped the rings off, but the ring was sized to a 7.25. When I tried it on in the store at pickup, it was clearly too loose, and I questioned the sizing. The young lady looked at the ticket and said it was sized to a 7.25, which is what was written down. Even though I'm pretty sure it should have been a 7, there's no way for me to dispute it, because you don't get a copy of the notes written on the envelope; you just get a ticket similar to a raffle ticket with the claim number on it. I would recommend that if the store doesn't change the process, and give you a copy of the notes, you ask for a copy. I did not want to leave my ring there, and risk it being there for another 3 weeks, or pay again for resizing that I already paid for.
