I can’t say enough good things about Vipperman AC! We originally called them just to get a second quote after another company came out and said the filter was not dirty and added 2lbs of refrigerant with “no luck”. This other company then tried to convince my sister-in-law she needed a whole new A/C unit for $8,000. When Jason from Vipperman AC came out, he immediately suspected that the original diagnosis might not be accurate. He sent out his technician, Matt, who my sister-in-law said was friendly, knowledgeable, and determined to find out whether the unit truly needed replacing or if the issues were repairable. Turns out, the filter WAS dirty and the system was overcharged. After replacing the filter, removing the excess refrigerant and some general maintenance, the A/C is working perfectly again! I was shocked by the incredibly low cost especially since Matt had come out 2 days. I’m in Florida and I could not get a tech to even walk in my door for that price! It’s so refreshing to find a company that values honesty, quality work and a commitment to help those who may not be knowledgeable enough to avoid the, in my opinion, predatory behavior of others. Highly recommend!!!

They called me back on Sunday and said it was EXPENSIVE for them to come out on weekend. They put me on their list and was out here on Monday and fixed my AC! So glad to get the issue resolved. Waiting on the bill to be mailed which was very convenient because I was at work and forgot to leave them a check. Seem to be great people.
Frequently Asked Questions About Vipperman Air Conditioning
How often should I change my air filters?
In our experience as a heating and air conditioning company, once a month is a pretty good rule of thumb. The answer could be more or less depending on where you live and how much dirt, pet dander, and other contaminants are present. Check your filter frequently. If it's dirty, change it.
How often should I have my unit serviced?
Heating and cooling units need regular check-ups to ensure everything is operating properly. The HVAC experts at our heating company recommend an annual inspection and service call. Technicians should inspect your system, lubricate components, and repair or replace malfunctioning components.
Can I fix my noisy air conditioner myself?
Unless you have professional knowledge of HVAC electrical system layouts and the proper meters to test all the working components of your AC, you are putting yourself and your air conditioner at a significant risk for harm. As an experienced air conditioning repair company, we can diagnose and fix your AC unit.
How big should my heating and cooling unit be?
Our heating and air conditioning company accounts for many factors when determining what size heating and cooling unit you’ll need. We look at the type of house you own, its walls, insulation, attic space, and more. A system that's too large could result in a home that’s too humid, causing problems with moisture and mold. A system that's too small will run constantly and increase your energy bill. Only a qualified heating and cooling technician can determine what size unit is best for your home.
According to This Old House, more than 90% of households in the United States use air cooling equipment. If you need a new heating and cooling unit, call Vipperman Air Conditioning today.
If I replace my outdoor unit, do I also need to replace my indoor unit?
In most cases, the answer is yes. First, air conditioner and heat pump outdoor units are manufactured to work with a matching indoor unit. When you mix and match units, it can result in reduced efficiency and performance. Also, if you bought your indoor and outdoor units at the same time, your indoor unit will probably be approaching the end of its useful life at about the same time as the outdoor unit. By not replacing the indoor unit too, all you’re doing is delaying the inevitable and likely paying higher energy bills in the meantime.
By purchasing an indoor and outdoor unit together, you’ll get a warranty covering the whole system. That way, you won’t have to cover the full cost of any needed repairs to your unit during the warranty period. To learn more, call our heating and air conditioning company today.
Should I cover my unit in the fall and winter?
While covering your unit can prevent unwanted debris from accumulating on the unit, it can also cause problems if you try to operate it with the covering in place. If you’re going on a long trip and plan to turn the unit off while you’re gone, feel free to cover it up. Just make sure you disconnect the power source before leaving. If your unit isn't functioning properly, call our heating repair company for a free estimate.
What makes an AC unit freeze up?
Several factors can cause your air conditioning system to freeze. Wear and tear may lead to refrigerant leaks, lowering pressure and causing freezing due to insufficient refrigerant. Lower freon levels force the refrigerant to expand more. The more it expands, the cooler the temperature. The colder temperature will cause moisture around your unit’s evaporator coil to freeze.
Additionally, dirty evaporator coils can cause units to lose airflow and freeze up. Defective blower motors can also cause freezing. All of these issues require help from a professional technician. The team at our air condition repair company has the training and tools to fix the problem.
What is a zoning system?
Zoning systems split your ductwork into sections, giving you the power to control the temperature in each area individually. This means you can cool down sun-soaked rooms with lots of windows more effectively while using less air conditioning in spaces like seldom-used guest rooms. Using zoning systems results in a more energy-efficient and comfortable home. To learn more, call our air conditioning company today!
How can I improve my indoor air quality?
Indoor air quality is a major concern. You can improve your indoor air quality with frequent dusting and vacuuming. You can also have a qualified technician from our heating and air conditioning company install devices such as UV light units, special air filters, and electronic air cleaners.
How do I find out if my unit is under warranty?
Check the label on the outer surface of your equipment to determine its manufacture date. Your equipment is probably covered by a warranty if it’s less than five years old. Contact the manufacturer for more details. If you need an experienced heating and air conditioning repair company, call Vipperman Air Conditioning today!
