Anyway, so. Just off the top, the first picture with the vet seeing the pet in the room with you is a lie and very misleading with the reality of practices at this vet. You get there, and they guide you into a room and take your pet with first contact to be seen in the back. Separated from you, even for vitals (heart rate, temperature and respiration rate). I’m 99% sure this is a tactic to get you a little worried and raise your mental suspicion. Because I showed up for a repeat issue I knew how to fix in my cat that occurred several years ago with a couple additional complaints that were minor but I had spent hours researching. In my studies it was evident he was dealing with real obesity and the very very beginning stages of an ear infection. The problem was dirty ears and a mild allergy from his food that caused mild hair loss (on the back of his legs very minor no signs of skin irritation at this time) and itchiness (a corn allergy). So the vets suggestion was $400 in labs, to then which I denied out of rationality. When I denied the rationality, the vet promptly suggested our cat to become antibiotics dependent via monthly injection ($150) monthly reoccurring indefinitely with monthly injections. And then gave us paperwork in regards to the skin allergy we knew he had and to not free feed him (which we dont). In the treatment plan we got from the vet, it suggested we do not free feed him with no mention of monthly injection's. On top of all this the vet had anxiety through the roof while delivering this information, which gave both my girlfriend and I a super uneasy feeling. We knew it was bull. This isn’t just our cat, he is a rock in our house hold. I imagine others feel the same, do not do nothing you wouldn’t do or allow to happen to yourself. Or if you think this is weird, it probably is. I’m 24 and I know I look younger to some with my girlfriend (24), nice try. Don’t let these people take you. They think they are intelligent just based on their education and can yo yo your emotions by separating you from your pet and fearing you into spending $800-$1000. Btw we know what it cost to clean ear on the high side, ($230) with check up included. We ended up paying $99 and they cleaned his ears. We genuinely would have paid the $230 with the check up. I’m glad we didn’t. This paper I’m attaching is similar to the BS you gave me but it took me more than 30 seconds to look for it. It’s from an .edu, take some time to read it, maybe you’ll wake up and be a better person and do things because you care, or you can use it to screw people. Do better.
