- KBKristine BarkerOct 30, 20251.0I’ve been reluctant to write this review, as every employee there has been very nice. However, my last service resulted in my car having almost no oil in it. I got an oil change Saturday morning, drove it 5 miles home, and didn’t use the car again until Monday night. When I turned on the car, the low oil light was on and the dipstick confirmed. I took the car to a mechanic the next day. He confirmed there was no oil leaks or cracks in the filter that would cause low oil and also confirmed the car had almost no oil in it. I tried calling the location directly, but they route you to a national customer service number. They took down my information and the manager of the location called me about a day later. While he was very nice, he took no responsibility for what happened and said by reviewing video he could tell his employees put oil in the car. He also said since it was more than 24 hours since the service, the could not give me a refund even if I provided proof from the mechanic. They offered me a 50% off coupon and for the manager to do my next oil change personally. The idea they think I’d go back is so ridiculous but it was clear that I wasn’t getting a refund so I just said - fine mail me the coupon. Interestingly, I never even got the coupon (which I would have just given away to someone brave enough to use them). So I paid for an expensive oil change there just to go and pay for more oil from a mechanic. Lesson learned - go to your local mechanic who has training as opposed to people working hard but clearly not receiving adequate supervision. I’m annoyed, but overall just so relieved my engine didn’t take the hit from their negligence.

Unbelievably inflexible and delusional as to the risk it posed. I don’t think I can ever be convinced to go back to any valvoline after this experience.
