- PBPeter BrownSep 26, 20251.0Never again. I brought in my brand-new, sub-2000 mile 2025 Palisade for an oil change. Hyundai's reputation is not good and I wanted to make sure any machining debris is removed. Anyhoo, I'm sitting in the car while a parade of mechanics keep going under my hood, removing the decorative engine cover and then putting it back. This happened 5 times before I got out to see what they were doing. He said they were 'looking for the air filter'. No engine has been built with an air filter over the intake manifold since about 1988 - so I don't believe that for one minute. The simple service took over 20 minutes once I pulled in the bay, and still cost $115 with a $15 coupon. I'll change my own oil from now on.

I took my car in about 2 weeks ago to get an oil change. Fine. No problem. But they also run a "diagnostics test to see other issues" with the vehicle. This company tried telling me my car had all these issues and quoted me nearly 600.00 to fix. I got my oil change and left. I called another auto place to have a 2nd opinion Yesterday i went to this other shop to get the 2nd opinion. And guess what? NOTHING is wrong with my vehicle. They looked over my car for about 30-40 minutes. The guys told me that vavilon lied to me and my car is fine. You people should be ASHAMED of yourselves!!!! Lying to people about their vehicles! What a CRIME. I will NEVER come back. And will tell people how crooked your mechanics are. You should be ashamed! Lying to people about their cars. As if this economy isnt hard enough. Crooks.
