DO NOT GO HERE! Dr. Tolliver AND Dr. Gill told me that my son is developing just fine and he's doing good for his age & I told Dr. Gill NO my son isn't doing normal AT ALL so he finally referred me to a neurologist and it took them 3 weeks to contact me (we was already in FL pediatrician icu by then). They said my son head circumference was normal at his 6 months check up. Well the doctors and nurses (at SGMC & UF Shands), his neurosurgeon (and his team), his NEW pediatrician, and pediatrician on base ALL of them said his head circumference WAS NOT normal or NO WHERE near normal for a kid his age! Well it turns out my son has a condition call hydrocephalus, too much fluid on the brain and it's putting pressure on his development side of his brain, and that's why he's 9 months and isn't standing up, crawling, sitting up, & etc... Like what kid you know that's 9 months old and isn't sitting up(or trying too), standing up (or trying to), crawling, lifting their head up, isn't eating solid foods, etc... that's no where near normal. My son is in FL children hospital right now waiting for a procedure to get the fluid out.
*Edit: my son has had 2, yes TWO (might have to go through more throughout his life), brain surgeries done because of his condition. He has to go through Occupational, Speech, AND Physical therapy because they said that even tho he's almost 11 months his body is 3 months old! My son is FINALLY achieving some of his milestones for his age VERY slowly but he's doing better now* Please trust your gut feelings when it comes to your kids!
