I’m really impressed with this company. This year there was a small issue with the sealcoating project. They took responsibility right away and even offered me a complimentary one for the next year. That kind of integrity is rare these days.

Very disappointed in our New Asphalt driveway that was provided by United Asphalt! We were told it would be 1/12 “ thick and there are many areas that are much less.
When we made our concerns known they were quickly dismissed in a condescending manner.
There were several other problems as well.
I would not recommend using United Asphalt in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Wow... what a team. Right from the salesman, to the foreman, to the on site crew and office staff this was a real paving company. I have dealt with a few over the years and have to say that I was just totally impressed and highly satisfied with the job this team did for our home. Shout out to John and his team who worked from sun up to the dark of night making sure the icing on the cake was just right. If you want a quality job from a team who makes you feel like family and pays attention to detail at very fair price, the United group is the one.

I never knew our driveway could look so good! Laura, the accounting manager, was a delight to deal with. While we had to delay the project due to challenges of staffing during COVID, she remained in touch and accountable. The crew that worked on our driveway was professional and meticulous. We've already been informed of the ongoing follow-up they are committed to regarding seal coating. Pricing was reasonable. Also, of six contacts I made for quotes, they were the ONLY ones that responded, and within 24-hours. I would highly recommend them!

Frequently Asked Questions About United Asphalt Company LLC
What is the difference between resurfacing and sealcoating my drive?
The main difference is that resurfacing is a structural repair that will extend the useful life of your asphalt surface. It entails the patching (if necessary) and resurfacing of the entire surface with a new overlay of 1 ½” to 3″ of hot bituminous asphalt. Sealcoating is not a structural repair and may be likened to painting your house. The sealcoat protects and extends the life of your asphalt but does nothing to correct structural flaws. Sealcoating, accordingly, is substantially less expensive than resurfacing your drive.
Does United Asphalt Company offer free estimates?
United Asphalt Company offers free on-site estimates. Give us a call today to schedule your appointment.
What services does United Asphalt Company offer?
United Asphalt Company provides both residential and commercial asphalt paving, seal coating, concrete sealing, excavation, and commercial snow removal services to the Greater Capital District.
When can I drive on my new driveway?
Your new asphalt surface can take more than 30 days to cure, depending on temperature variations from as day passes to night and back again. In general, however, you should be able to drive on the surface after two to three days if you are careful.
My car left tire scuff marks. Are they permanent?
Tire scuff marks are caused when you turn your car’s steering wheel while the car is stationary. If it is a hot day and the asphalt has not completely cured, the surface will get a blemish. It's like grinding your heel into a soft substance. Over time, most of this will become less noticeable.
When do I need to have my new driveway sealed?
This generally depends on the amount of direct sunlight and traffic that an area gets. As a rule of thumb, a surface should not need sealcoating more than every three or four years. Once a driveway has been sealed too many times, it becomes very smooth and slick when it rains.
