Tri-State Pools retiled my pool this fall and also relaid the coping stones. They started the job earlier than promised, and the work took exactly the time expected. Our pool is awkward to access down a slope but the workmen managed to leave a clean site every evening. The finished result looks really good - we think the new tiles are great. Dan and Tim were at all times very helpful and always responded quickly to any questions. Thank you! Look forward to next year’s swimming!

Dan & Tim Schneider run an excellent company. All crews worked carefully each day and always left the site in great shape. All subcontractors were also very professional. Very pleased with the remodeling of our 43 year old gunnite pool. It looks brand new!

Tri-State Pools was punctual and kept me informed throughout the process, making the experience smooth and stress-free. Their craftsmanship in replacing the coping and tile was top-notch, professional, precise, and clearly built to last. I would recommend them for all my pool renovations.

Dan and his crew did a great job of prepping and applying diamond brite finish to our pool. They had earlier done a great job with the coping and tiles - 8 years ago. We had no hesitation in going back to TriState for our pool repair.

We’ve been repeat clients of Tri-State Pools. They originally replaced our pool’s coping and tile, and later resurfaced the pool as well. Unfortunately, the coping and tile job failed. In 2023, they agreed to redo that work under a cost split, since the original warranty had expired. Less than two seasons later, we’re already seeing hairline cracks along the grout line and, more concerning, coping that actually rocks in certain spots. That’s not normal wear and tear — that’s corrective work failing far too soon. To be fair, Tri-State did meet their contractual agreement. But warranties structured this way on very expensive work put the customer in a tough spot when things fail. I appreciated their willingness to step in the first time and share the cost, but it raises a bigger question: why does the work fail so quickly in the first place, and why does the solution lean on contract language instead of professional accountability? A customer should not be left paying more for the same problems with no assurance they won’t continue. I take responsibility for signing, but properly executed work should not fail this quickly. And given that I’ve now trusted Tri-State with multiple projects — giving them more than one chance to stand behind their work — this pattern makes it clear I can’t continue with them. I won’t be using Tri-State Pools again, and I cannot recommend them. Future customers deserve to know both the contract terms and the reality of how the company stands behind its work.

Frequently Asked Questions About Tri-State Pools, Inc.

HOW LONG DO MOST POOL RENOVATIONS TAKE?

Tri-State Pools has an outstanding reputation for being well managed. Once we start a project our goal is to proceed without delay until completed. For example, a simple resurfacing takes 3-5 days. Total replacement of coping, tile and interior plaster takes 7-10 days. Complete renovations inclusive of new tile, coping, interior plaster, new pool deck, new equipment & plumbing normally takes 3-4 weeks. Fast, efficient and top quality work.

DO I NEED PERMITS TO RENOVATE MY POOL?

Most pool renovations do not require permits. If your renovation project includes replacement of your pool deck or electrical work, permits would be required. No worries though; we handle everything. All permit applications are executed by us.
