Don't put glitter in your tire sealant!
Not only is it super messy and bad for the environment but it is not effective! Honestly it is a little ridiculous. Do you think if Stans and Orange could have improved their sealant formulas by adding 2 cents worth of glitter from the craft store they wouldn't have? Modern sealants are carefully engineered with specially selected aggregates that bond well with the base (usually latex). Glitter is shiny plastic flake which won't bond well with anything. So all you are doing is adding a bunch of inclusions to a latex matrix that won't bond properly and when flexed during regular use will create microtears in the latex patch matrix.
Honestly this sort of superstition isn't a good look, it begs the question what other secret ingredients are being used in the bike setup.
Use a quality modern sealant and shake it well before adding and you will have the appropriate amount of compatible aggregate in your sealant.

Rod and the the rest of the crew were tuning up my bike and found that my frame was compromised and unrideable before an Ironman race so they put it back together and didn’t charge me even when they had already performed some work on it. They even looked for a guy and connected me with someone that had the ability to repair it. Definitely will be going to them for future needs because of their integrity

I visited Trek Royal Oak this spring to quickly purchase a bike to replace one I had owned for over 20 years. I expected to walk away with a quality, properly assembled machine from a reputable vendor. That’s not what I got.
The staff was pleasant, but when I asked whether the pre-assembled bikes were new, I was told they were. In reality, “new” seems questionable — bikes are taken out for test rides, and it’s possible mine had already seen plenty of miles. The first bike I was handed had visible scratches, which I noticed immediately in the sunlight. The staff swapped it without argument, but their explanation for the damage didn’t add up.
The replacement wasn’t much better. At home, I discovered more scratches, misaligned grips and brake controls, a crooked sticker, and tires that weren’t even properly inflated. The assembly was so sloppy that I genuinely questioned whether Trek assembled it at all — it felt more like a bike someone had returned after a DIY setup. If not that, then Trek’s own assembly process leaves a lot to be desired.
On top of that, shortly after the purchase, I began receiving volumes of spam from “Heavy on Tigers.” Since the email I used with Trek Royal Oak is otherwise quiet, it’s hard not to conclude that my information was shared or sold, which raises red flags about their data practice ethics.
Bottom line: While the staff is friendly, the quality control and handling of customer information are unacceptable. Between scratched “new” bikes, amateur-level assembly, and the likelihood of data sharing, I cannot recommend this shop.
