I had a fantastic experience with your shop. I brought in a used, high-end bike I had purchased on eBay I didn't know what kind of shape it was in terms of maintenance, safety, and reliability Colton provided excellent service! He was a great communicator and kept me in the loop about the process. The shop helped put together the bike after I received it, went through it from top to bottom and found some maintenance issues that needed to be fixed. They made the bike essentially like a new bike for me. When I arrived there, he spent a lot of time going through it and had me test drive it and he made some additional adjustments to make sure everything was perfect. It was such a great experience that I purchase some additional accessories on the spot and want to come back to the store and buy more products. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else after The great experience Colton provided.!

I had my online order shipped and built here. The day my bike arrived to the store I was called in the afternoon with a confirmation it had arrived and was told that it was beginning to be built. I was told I’d be called with an update. The store closed and I was not called. No worries at all. I get it may take longer than a few hours. The following day I did not receive a call. Around 3pm I decided to reach out and inquire if it was likely to be completed that day. The person I spoke to said he was uncertain but agreed to give me a call at around 4:30-5pm to let me know if it will be completed that day or was completed. I requested this since it will take me about 45 minutes to get to the store for pick up. I was eager due to working a long nursing shift the following day. Well, he called around 5:30pm and left a voicemail stating, “your bike is ready to go but, if you haven’t left yet you probably won’t get here in time”. This sort of irked me. I know people get busy and such but it felt kind of insensitive. I think some acknowledgment that he did not call me as he agreed to would have been appropriate here. I mean treks are not small purchases and I want to ride my new bike. Anyway, the following day, zero attempts to connect on their end. I called around 3pm to let them know due to my work schedule I will not make it for pick up until tomorrow. They said that’s fine and they will store my bike overnight… woah! Anyway, I leave work an hour early the following day to pick up my bike. Pedals were not on. They applied some. As I waited, I didn’t care for the vibes of who I assume is the owner or front of house manager. Unfriendly guy. Anyway, it’s almost close so I quick try my bike out. I was without any instruction on the gear shifters (this is my first trek road bike) or expectations for common new bike noises or if I’ll likely need a new bike tune up ect. I had a vintage steel road bike before this… much different. I could have asked but I did feel very rushed and the person helping me seemed very uncertain of everything. I leave. That night I try to go on a bike ride and this bike sounds awful. The gears aren’t shifting smoothly at all. Strange rubbing noises. Gears changing on their own. I get frustrated. I waited about 2 weeks for this bike, drove a significant distance between the store and I made this purchase with the thought that Trek is a reputable brand with quality products and purchasing /getting built at a trek store would be hassle free experience to get a great bike. My partner looks at the bike (he’s not a bike guy) and does notice some things that don’t look right. The next morning I haul my bike up to be assessed in the store with a video of the awful sound to show. Store owner was super dismissive. He interrupts my description of what is happening and says it’s just this common thing that happens with every new bike we can fix it and walks away. Anyway, the main mechanic bro who was actually kind finds a few things are literally wrong and are out of alignment. He fixes it. He explains to me that he was supposed to get a final look at this bike before it goes out but, he did not. He blames a new employee and hands me a 20 dollar off my next purchase to “make it right”. Driving back and forth from Salem twice prob costs more than 20 dollars in gas. And my time is much more valuable. He should have saved that. It was offensive. A sincere apology would have been much more appropriate. I def will find a different bike shop when I need things in the future. Lame customer service for sure!!

This place is amazing. Fast, knowledgeable service at reasonable prices. The folks here are so helpful and always help educate me. I love that they don’t try to upsell you. If they feel you can wait on things, they’ll tell you, and if they feel you really shouldn’t wait they’ll let you know. Definitely appreciate that!
