I was going looking for a brake pads change and they found a quick solution, they were really professional and kind it was an excellent service and I was surprised when they told me it wasn’t necessary a change of brake pads it was just adjust the brakes and they did it real quick they didn’t charged me for that when somewhere else could charge me just for that if my bike needs anything I would take it to this store always👌
The employees at Trek went above and beyond! I went with two bikes to get air in the tires, and they took the time to help raise one of the seats and adjust a part of the other bike for free! Super kind and generous. Will definitely be back to get my son’s next bike as he grows.

I dropped my bike off for regular maintenance. They turned it around in a day. They also replaced my seat and told me it was under warranty. I’ve been going there a while, always friendly.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Closter NJ Trek bike shop, and I’m genuinely blown away by the outstanding service I received. From the moment I walked in, the staff made it clear that customer satisfaction is their top priority.
I came in with a brake issue on my bike that I couldn’t quite diagnose myself. Not only did the team take the time to carefully inspect everything, but they also explained each step of the process in a clear, friendly way.
The quality of the repair work was exceptional. My bike rides / stops like new!
It’s rare these days to find a shop where you feel so well taken care of, where the service goes beyond the transaction. Whether you're a new rider or a seasoned cyclist, this shop is a gem. I’ll definitely be back—and I’ll be recommending them to everyone I know.
Today at 12 PM, I visited the Trek Bike Shop in Closter, New Jersey to get the rear derailleur cable on my 2016 Specialized S-Works SL6 replaced. It had suddenly stopped working. Since this shop is right in the neighborhood, it’s a place I usually enter with a smile, feeling welcomed—especially because of one staff member I really liked for their friendly attitude.
But today, that familiar face was nowhere to be seen. Instead, a new employee gave me an estimate. Under the label of a “Level 2 Tune-Up,” they quoted me $480, which included replacing the derailleur cable, brake cable, handlebar tape, chain, spoke wheel adjustments, and a full bike wash. Sure, all of that sounds great, but I had only come in for a simple rear derailleur cable replacement and possibly a rear tire change (new tire was provided)
The quote felt excessive and padded, like they were trying to take advantage of me. It gave me that sinking feeling—“Ah, they think I’m an easy target here.” I was honestly disappointed. So I declined the service on the spot and went to another local bike shop. There, I had the derailleur cable, brake cable, and even the tubeless rear tire replaced—all for just $80
Today might have been my last visit to the Closter Track Bike Shop.
