  My goal was to curate an amazing adventure for my 50th birthday celebration. Costa Rica was at the top of my list for destinations but I needed help with planning the trip. I am so thankful for finding Transformative Travel LLC. From our first connection to our most recent conversation following the trip, Misty and his team were fantastic!!!! Misty listened to what I wanted for my trip and he helped make it happen! He organized every aspect of our travel with a local team on the ground in Costa Rica and my wishes for a combination of adventure and relaxation were executed flawlessly! I read all of the positive reviews from previous clients and was drawn to this company’s focus on creating transformational experiences. I can honestly say my expectations were exceeded. Not only were Misty and his team professional, personable and punctual but I also appreciate Misty’s genuine kindness and thoughtfulness. Despite being on his own international travel while I was in Costa Rica, Misty arranged for a beautiful arrangement of flowers to be delivered to me on the morning of my birthday!!   OMG! Ramesh was a fantastic, knowledgeable, kind guide on our 8 day Transformative Triangle tour of India. Easy to talk with, always answering any questions we had, making sure we tried all the local food and experienced the local culture, nothing was too much for him. He is more than a 5 star guide/host. Resorts were spectacular, excursions amazing and even white water rafted on the class 3 rapids of the Ganges. Visited Temples, ashrams, took all modes of transportation in the country (tuk tuk, rickshaw, train, metro, high end van, boat, raft and of course our feet), and learned how to bargain he helped make the trip more than amazing! Misty was extremely knowledgeable on the front end of the trip. This trip with Transformative Travel truly transformed my life!!

  I had a fantastic experience with Misty on a trip to royal Bardiya National Park in Nepal (October 2022)! Prior to the trip he provided an informative briefing with planning materials and Transformative Travel was very responsive to all my silly questions. This trip was delayed due to Covid-19 and I thought Transformative Travel handled the rescheduling very well - I felt confident they weren't going to run off with my deposit money (which has happened to me in the past)! When we arrived in Nepal, it was apparent the monsoon was late and that made fishing difficult at best. However, Misty and the entire crew kept spirits high during the rafting and fishing, pivoted on trip arrangements to make the most of the weather situation, and I had a great experience. They worked with highly professional local businesses and the on-site travel team was solid and even included a wildlife expert and doctor (in addition to Misty's well-known mahseer fishing expertise). I saw amazing wildlife (tiger, leopard, monkeys, rhino, rare crocodiles), and we even found a place to catch mahseer on dry flies despite the conditions. I highly recommend Transformative Travel; especially if you're looking for something a little different from most travel experiences.

  I feel so energized after my afternoon on the Patapsco River with Misty. I truly needed a fly fishing refresher lesson. And his approach was spot on ... deep knowledge, positive energy and a great way of connecting it all from my head to my hands. I'm grateful and can't wait to learn more on my next trip.

  If you’re looking to learn or even improve your fly casting ability, Misty is the right choice to help you. I had a decent grasp on basic fly casting but wanted to improve on that. I now have more ability o target and catch fish that I couldn’t have before. He’s highly knowledgeable on all aspects and principals of the fly cast. His enthusiasm is encouraging amd exciting. and his patience makes the learning experience fun and pressure free. Above all he’s a great guy. I’d highly recommend him to anyone in the fly fishing world.
