  Touchstone is so much more impressive than I anticipated! The staff are so nurturing and I really appreciate how individualized they are willing to make instruction! My child has some unexpected struggles and the principal worked so hard to help the teachers implement strategies and access materials that made a world of difference at school and home!!! The families here are invited regularly to community activities, including gardening and service projects!

  We took our 3-year-old daughter here for backup care during her spring break and were consistently impressed by the warmth and welcome from both the staff and the kids. The principal welcomed my daughter by name in the mornings when we dropped her off, and the teachers clearly managed their classrooms very well, if the good and welcoming behavior of the kids is anything to go by. We had a great experience with Touchstone, and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

  Touchstone is the best! We get a really useful benefit through my husband’s work for X number of days of back up care, so we were able to get our three year old in to Touchstone for three days while she was between preschool and summer camps. We have been so wildly impressed with the teachers, the principal and the students. The kids are so friendly and welcomed our daughter right away. Our girl has been so excited to show up every day and is just bursting to tell me all about her day when I pick her up. They serve great food and my normally picky toddler came home excited about what she ate. I just can’t say enough nice things about Touchstone, if we lived closer to Tigard we’d have been thrilled to send her here full time. As it is, we’ll definitely be sending her back for future back up care. Thank you to everyone at Touchstone for a great week!

  The care and compassion shown to my son during his time at Touchstone is unparalleled. When his disability emerged, his old preschool kicked him out. He was crushed, and we had nowhere to go. It was a sad, hard time for our family. When we visited Touchstone, Michelle and her team not only welcomed us, they embraced us, and it changed our lives for the better. During and after sensory meltdowns, the staff would tell my son he was still loved, and that he was a good boy. His teacher spoke with his therapist and with special education teachers to understand how to care for him. They encouraged accommodations, he took "body breaks" with the principal, and they were our partners as we navigated medication to help him integrate in the classroom. Since he started, he's rebuilt his confidence and self esteem, and made new friends. He was able to heal and is thriving again. I'll never forget Touchstone's kindness when we needed it the most - this school will always have a special place in my heart, and I will be forever grateful.
