The streak of not being able to find an auto service shop that can provide the minimum of adequate service twice in a row continues. We had an appointment to change over to our snow tires yesterday. After making the appointment we discovered our front brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced (as confirmed by the exorbitantly priced dealership and the new grinding noise). So, we called and asked if Tire Warehouse was able to replace the front brake pads and rotors during our tire change appointment and they confirmed they would be able to do so. Yesterday I arrived for the appointment and again confirmed with Zack at the counter that I was there for the snow tires to be installed and reminded him to be sure that we needed new front brake pads and rotors. We were also made aware there may be an exhaust leak so I asked him if it would be possible to just check and confirm that, though we would not need that addressed in this appointment. He assured me he understood everything, and it was all set. Eventually, I returned to Tire Warehouse to find my car had been moved and must’ve been done. So, I went in and waited at the counter for another 15 minutes for Zack to return. He eventually came out, I explained who I was and why I was there, and he rung up my bill for the tire change over. I asked him about the front brake pads and rotors, and he just said, “everything looks fine”. Bewilderment. Just stunned in utter bewilderment, I said, “I thought you were going to replace them?” To which he responded, “We only do that if we’re told to.” I couldn’t imagine what that meant. Told by whom? I, the customer, told him to. And the manager had okayed it previously. Helplessly, I asked if they had any documentation that showed they even looked at the car and had any recommendations, but they had nothing. Again, I was met with, “Everything looks fine”. The front brakes are grinding. There is no mechanic that would’ve told Zack that everything looks fine. So, now I have to find another place to replace my brake pads and rotors and try to get another day off work. I would’ve understood if they all just told me that they couldn’t add this service to the appointment, but to say they could accommodate it the whole way through and then just not do it is terrible and really put me in a bind because I’m supposed to take my son to Logan airport this weekend and I’m concerned about my brakes. I never saw anyone else involved in the process, so, perhaps the mechanics and the rest of the staff are fine, but after my experience with Zack I will not be returning.

I had an appointment yesterday for snow tires. My husband got to the store before me because he was picking me up so I could leave the car. He asked Zac, and employee standing outside, where I should park since the lot was full and Zac starting yelling and swearing at my husband to move his truck. He wasn’t blocking access at either business that shared the parking lot. My husband tried to explain he wasn’t staying, just picking me up and again Zac ignored the question and yelled obscenities again and told my husband to park elsewhere. Then Jason, who I assume is the manager?, came outside and told my husband to leave for “running his mouth”, swore at him and then turned to me in my car (I hadn’t said a word) and told me to get out of there too that they didn’t want our business. We were there to spend $900+ on new snow tires and just wanted to know where to park the car. We have been customers for many, many years and did not deserve to be sworn at and treated so poorly just because they were over scheduled and understaffed. We went down the road to VIP Tires where we were treated well and sold better tires for less money.

I was verbally assaulted by Zac and Jason for asking where my wife should park. They both yelled at me for blocking a door at another shop. I attempted to tell them that I wasnt parking, my truck is still running. They didnt want to hear it, they yelled, they swore, and told me to leave. When my wife pulled in, they told her to leave too. "We dont need your business!" I couldn't understand why those 2 were so angry. I cant honestly believe that this is who Tire Warehouse chooses to represent them. Im a 30+ year customer of Tire Warehouse. So, I left, drove up the road to VIP tire. The shop was clean, spacious, and the person we contacted was smiling and polite. And the price for the same tires was $165.00 less! They have 45 one star reviews. Not sure how that equates to a 4.5. Likely 3.1 is the reality.

The service was fine, and I have no concerns with the work that was done. Just be aware that they do charge $160 for a basic winter tire changeover. It was my mistake for not asking for a price beforehand, but this is more then twice as much as any other place in the area has charged me before, and I didn't expect it to be so different (usually costs me about $70). I did confirm that there was no other service provided and no complications, this is just their price for the changeover. So just to be aware that they are more expensive than others in the area, and if I'd realized, I probably would've waited and gone elsewhere, so want others to be aware so you can make an informed choice!

I brought my car in for winter tires and specifically requested studded winter tires when I booked the appointment. I’m new to the area and openly told them I’m unfamiliar with winter tires and was relying on their expertise to guide me. I later learned that not all winter tires come with studs pre-installed — they must be added separately, even if the tire is designed for studs. That would’ve been fine, had this been clearly explained. Instead, no one asked me to confirm whether I wanted studs installed, even though I had requested “winter tires with studs” in my original phone conversation. The tires they ordered were indeed studdable tires, which means I would never have declined studs on a tire specifically made for studs — especially after asking for them. When I picked up my car, I noticed the studs weren’t installed. I called to clarify and was met with rude and dismissive responses. I was told that I had declined studs, which is simply untrue and was never discussed at any point during the appointment. They refused to acknowledge any miscommunication on their end. I drove back so they could add the studs. While there, I was spoken to disrespectfully, my old tires were called “crap,” and when I returned to pick up my car, I was told that although they normally don’t charge for studs, they were charging me the full amount because installing them was an “inconvenience” to them.
