I started my policy over the phone during the last week of May. The process was quick and easy — I was able to get insurance for a vehicle I had just purchased in under 10 minutes.
I called this week with a question about a possible claim. While driving, something hit my car, causing damage to the tire and wheel. I spoke with an agent named Jessica, and initially, she advised me to get an estimate first to see if the damage was even worth filing a claim due to the deductible. I completely agreed with that.
But then she kept going, saying that any claim would go on my record and increase my insurance premiums — something I already knew. I told her, “I know that,” and she snapped back saying she was “just trying to educate me.” I told her she didn’t need to, and she abruptly ended the call by saying, “If you have any more questions, call us back,” and hung up on me.
I immediately switched agents. I don’t tolerate that kind of rude and condescending behavior. I called in with a simple and respectful question, and instead, I was met with attitude and dismissiveness. It’s clear that once you’re signed up, customer service is no longer a priority — they’re more concerned about getting your money than helping you with actual concerns. There are plenty of better, more respectful agents out there who actually value their clients.
