When it's time to escape the everyday hustle and bustle, Lake Texoma RV Campground delivers the right balance of leisure and recreation. With mature trees throughout, this shady RV campground in Texas offers open-air camping sites with convenient access to nearby Lake Texoma. Just as easy as the lakeside lounging and activities are to enjoy, so are the numerous onsite amenities available to all guests of our year-round RV campground in northern Texas.
Lake Texoma RV Campground's 300 acres near Lake Texoma's beautiful shoreline are a starting point for water skiing, boating, hiking, and swimming. As the “Striped Bass Capital of the World”, Lake Texoma is located near our RV campground in Texas' prime fishing region .
The ladies where you check in at, they're all older, and always outside smoking. So you have to wait for them to get done before you can ask them a question or actually check in. The cabins are extremely filthy. If you look underneath the beds there are a bunch of bugs and dust and trash and none of the electrical outlets work. Also, the roads are worn out. But I'm more upset about the ladies at the check in. Maybe if they spent as much time with the guests that are trying to check in instead of smoking or acting like they hate their job, the rest of it wouldn't be as big of a deal.

I had an annual membership for two years at this Thousand Trail location. In September 2024, arriving at my campsite it was noticeable that many things of mine outside and inside of my camper were missing, including a busted lock on my door. Another member near me came and told me that they saw the man in the site next to me taking these things and even reported it to the office. NOT ONCE did the office notify me that this was going on or a report was made to me about this occurrence. NOT EVEN a few months later THE SAME MAN and camper was allowed back into Thousand Trails for this to happen to others. As a single woman this is very scary and unsafe for the community all around. I’m very disappointed in the staff and corporate for providing criminals a chance to reenter this location.

The cabin we stayed in was decent. They need to repair it for leaking, though. A rain storm caused water to leak into it near the door and created standing water by the bedroom door in the hall area. There are a lot of potholes in the roads. These have continued to get much worse the past few years. Also, the large pool by the main lodge was not open. It's the last few days of June, and it's not open yet? The other small pool fills up with people quickly. Our stay this time was a bit disappointing because of these things.
