As a designer who regularly works with white glove services, I was disappointed by The Velvet Touch's execution and accountability. Their crew arrived unprepared for contracted services, and rather than taking responsibility for the shortfall, they shifted blame to other parties. There appears to be poor internal communication between sales/quoting and field operations. For fellow designers and fabricators who rely on these services for client projects, their lack of due diligence in understanding their own role and capabilities can create significant issues for both senders and receivers. When problems arise, expect to spend considerable time disputing rather than collaborative problem-solving. Would recommend confirming all service details extensively in writing and having backup plans.
