About

Vegan RestaurantRestaurant
When we started The Social Vegan, we did it with one mission in mind: become the Best Vegan Restaurant in Lexington, KY. From the very beginning, we’ve carefully sourced our ingredients from farmers and vendors we trust. We take pride in clean sourcing and serving nutrient-rich food for every appetite. We believe ingredients should be high quality and your time spent with us should be memorable. We have expanded to Tallahassee, Florida and plan on becoming the first chain vegan restaurant in the US. Come stop by for some delicious food!

Sweet bartender and yummy vegan tacos for Sunday lunch today. They have both vegan and non vegan options. Spacious and airy.

11:05 and still not open? No one answers the phone. Perhaps an update to hours are needed?

First time there, the front counter staff made it feel like I was intruding and I should know how everything flows. The last time I went there (my second time) it was 30 minutes before closing and I was told that I wouldn’t be seated and would have to do take out only (so I left and went Gaines Street Pies for the first time and had their vegan pizza instead and fell in love with that place). Two strikes in a row, I’m done trying to eat here when I come to Tallahassee from 2 hours away for other things, there are more friendly and accommodating options.

I used to have The Social Vegan as a 5 start small restaurant in my opinion. But ever since they're renovations, a lot has change and it seems as if the don't cater or care to cater to their initial core customers. I used to be there at least 3 times a week when I'm in town for work. I go up there some times and they've been a few different excuses I got to why I could get served vegan food. Either "the vegan cook isn't in," "we don't have vegan options today," and in time a cashier told me "we only serving real food at the moment." Like dang, this is my real food. Either way the food is great, whenever you can get served, but the services is wish washy and condescending towards vegan people.
