Amazing food and fantastic service at Silk Brookline.
I had a wonderful experience dining at Fusion India. The food was absolutely delicious full of authentic Indian flavors with a creative twist that really lives up to the name. Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and perfectly seasoned.
The staff were warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The atmosphere was cozy yet modern, making it a great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions.
Overall, Silk is a gem near Boston great food, great people, and a truly enjoyable dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Absolutely amazing experience! 🌟 Everything at this new spot is top-notch — from the Coconut Curry Seafood Linguine bursting with rich, creamy flavor to the perfectly tender Herb-Crusted Lamb Chops and juicy Grilled Salmon Skewers. The Butter Chicken was comforting and full of depth — definitely one of the best I’ve had!
Both salads — the Mediterranean Caesar and the Persian Pomegranate Salad — were fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented. The Butter Naan and Garlic Naan came out warm and fluffy, the perfect pairing for every dish.
Desserts were a dream — the Malada Chai Crème Brûlée was such a creative twist, and the Salted Caramel Chocolate was rich and indulgent. I also loved the Mango Lassi, so refreshing we had to order three! 🥭
Super convenient meter parking nearby, friendly service, and a cozy, modern atmosphere. Hard to believe this place only opened 3 months ago — it already feels like a neighborhood favorite. Highly recommend! 👏

We made a reservation here for dinner for my wife's birthday with family after she found this new Indian fusion restaurant. On arriving on time for the reservation, our expectations did drop a bit when they did not have our table ready for 7 people. It seemed the front of house were not prepared despite a reservation being made in advance. And then on ordering drinks we found out that they did not have have 3 of the cocktails in their menu available. So it was not off to a great start.
But this only improved as we enjoyed the apps and our drinks. We really enjoyed the GuavaJalerita cocktail which was like a spicy margarita. The chicken 65, calamari and the lamb pomegranate flatbread were so good! The tandoori chicken bao buns were good but would have been better if the chicken had been left in the tandoor grill a bit more to make it more crispy.
For entrees, the goan shrimp linguini and gochujang braised ribs were really quite good, though the herb crusted lamb was a tad overcooked. And then for dessert, we got the chai creme brulee, saffron panna cota and the cardamon dark chocolate tart were all divine! One of the owners came by to wish a happy birthday and we learned this is a fairly new restaurant (just a couple months open now), which explains some of the short comings at the start of our evening. We are looking forward to visiting again to see how much more they improve, cause the food and drinks were really enjoyable!

I have nothing but good things to say about The Silk! We came in with a party of 15 to celebrate an engagement and were extremely well taken care of. The staff was all kind, attentive, and accommodating, and the owner came to check in multiple times to make sure all was going well. The staff perfectly handled some serious allergy restrictions from some in our party, and we ate completely worry-free!
The food was seriously good, each person initially planned to order for just themselves but we quickly switched to family-style sharing after we realized how good everything was. I sampled no fewer than 10 different dishes that night and I would gladly go back for most of them again. The cauliflower fritter appetizer was one of the best preparation of cauli I've ever had, and I'm not one to hyperbolize.
I'll keep the rest of this short for the sake of space: The drinks were top notch (get the Bombay Sunset, thank me later) and the interior is also really quite pretty. While the portions might be modest, the taste is grand and the price is more than reasonable for that experience.
Overall one of the best dining experiences I've had in the past year, and I'm so glad we chose this for our special occasion. Please go and support this gem of a restaurant!

My partner and I dined here and had a pretty disappointing experience. When we walked in, they asked for our name and number in order to get us a table… while the restaurant was empty. They then handed us laggy tablet menus with photoshopped or AI-created menu photos. The arugula was clipping in one of them.
Some menu items showed potential allergens and some didn’t.
We got samosas to start, fine, mostly flavorless, mushy, and salty, but the crust was good.
We tried the Persian salad and neither of us could take more than two bites. We felt pretty guilty and embarrassed at that point. The dressing was so strong and vinegar tasting that it overtook any other flavors and just didn’t go with anything.
My salmon skewers were just ok, but there were some culinary choices I didn’t understand, like why it was on a spread of straight tahini. The salmon wasn’t very well seasoned, and if you’ve ever had plain tahini, you know how it’s both rich and plain. There were also about five multicolored baby carrots in the dish, most of them undercooked. I ended up feeling pretty sick to my stomach for the rest of the night, burping the taste of the salmon.
My partner’s chicken saag was ok (the only thing I took a photo of), mostly smoky flavored. The chicken was cooked well. The garlic naan was also good.
As for service, it seemed our server might have been new at the job, so I feel like some things can slide (like how our small cups of water weren’t refilled for a while, or how he didn’t ask for our entree order when he brought our appetizers).
But when he took our full plate of salad, he didn’t ask about it until the end, when we were paying. He asked if the salad wasn’t good, we said the dressing was too strong, and he just walked away without a word while we finished paying. It was just awkward.
We won’t be back and would not recommend this place.
