The Saddlery’s roomy, with space to spare,
A kitchen, a bedroom, and parking right there.
Close to the square, it works for a stay,
Especially if you’ll be here more than a day.
But beware the details that tripped us up:
Half a roll of TP, no backup.
No extras in closets, no weekend reply,
We had to go shopping—yes, we had to buy.
The fridge ran too cold, our veggies all froze,
A salad turned icicles right under our nose.
The ice maker broken, no bag to be had,
Just one little tray (which was frankly quite sad).
The beds were stiff, with frames that bite,
Our toes found the legs in the dark of night.
The kitchen had pots and pans to spare,
But no salt or pepper to season with care.
A coffee pot better than this one, please—
The current contraption felt more like a tease.
Some shelves in the bath and a food-space nook,
Would go a long way for a long-term look.
The rooftop deck? A wonderful win,
A place to relax as the night drifts in.
A touch more soft seating would sweeten the space,
And make it a truly luxurious place.
So while it has charm, location, and room,
A few simple fixes could chase out the gloom.
Till then, bring your paper, your ice, and some cheer,
To make the most of your lodging here.
