  I had the opportunity to complete an accelerated Multi-engine rating at the Pilot Place. It was challenging but could not have done it without superb instruction by my Senior Flight Instructor, Sienna. She knows her stuff and is an excellent instructor. If looking for an MEL and a great place to do it - this is your spot. Thank you Sienna, Randall and all the folks at The Pilot Place!

  Great place to rent from! All of the employees are super kind and we will continue to come back for all of our rental needs in Sarasota. They also let us come on a day we weren’t flying to take photos with a plane which was huge and we are grateful. Shout to Amelia for standing outside with us for an hour while we took the pics!

  My daughter was previously at another flight school, but we were concerned with the lack of progress and attention from trainers. She decided to check out the Pilot place , and the experience has been amazing! The owner genuinely cares about the students, and the trainers are attentive, focused, and truly invested in their success. The difference in her progress and confidence has been night and day. If you’re looking for the best flight school for a private pilot, this is it! Highly recommend to anyone serious about flight training. Also, Amelia at the front desk was so helpful and I love that she is also a student so we were able to get her perspective.

  After going to 3 different flight schools in search of a good light sport aircraft with the instructor to coincide I came across The Pilot Place and took a fight in the sportcruiser, it was the best decision I have made in aviation. Aaron is hands down the best instructor I have had the chance to fly with, friendly and informative but will forge you into a responsible pilot all while having fun in beautiful scenery. Safety is a top priority, they have a ramp full of aircraft and when you come in before your lesson there is a great lounge where you are immediately considered part of the family. I drive an hour away twice a week and honestly I would drive three hours, they are the best I have come across in the greater Tampa Bay area, and am looking forward to flying with them and learn for years to come.
