They treat their vendors like they are less than people.

Went to the bar here (speak easy)... Ask for location. Tiny, busy, pricey, but worth it if it's your jam.

My husband and I are locals and decided to treat ourselves for our anniversary with an overnight stay downtown. The hotel staff was very welcoming. We loved our room! The King suite was quite spacious and decorated tastefully. The location is great due to the proximity to so many great restaurants and entertainment. We enjoyed the evening stroll down Gay Street and around Market Square. The hotel kindly comped us a couple drinks at the Peter Kern library, so we visited there as well. It has a cool vibe in there and a great ambiance. I would definitely recommend The Oliver to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Knoxville.

From start to finish, The Oliver Hotel exceeded all my expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and eager to help with anything I needed. The moment I walked into the lobby, I was struck by the stunning décor. It truly set the tone for the entire stay. I’m a fan of the vintage speakeasy aesthetic, and The Oliver gave me all the feels. My room was absolutely gorgeous. Every design detail was on point, right down to the perfectly curated snack selection. They’ve clearly put thought into every element of the guest experience. The hotel also features two fantastic restaurants, and I tried both (Tupelo Honey and The Oliver) and neither disappointed. I ate so much and enjoyed every bite. One small hiccup: my TV stopped working. But the front desk associate came up right away to troubleshoot. When he couldn’t fix it, he upgraded me to another room, which, incredibly, was even more beautiful than the first. I didn’t think that was possible! The location is also unbeatable. There’s a charming little market/plaza right next to the hotel, with great shopping and easy walking access to nearby bars ,pubs, nail salons, and spas. Everything you need is just steps away. I’ll absolutely be back and next time with my boyfriend, and definitely booking that bigger room again. I loved it that much.
