Living at Oasis has its upsides, but there are also several things future residents should be aware of before signing a lease.
Pros:
Maintenance Team: The crew is respectful, efficient, and always on the property. They handle requests quickly and are genuinely pleasant to interact with.
Oasis Management: Overall good to work with, with special mention to Marky, who consistently shows professionalism, politeness, and attentiveness.
Amenities: The saltwater pool is beautiful and private for residents, and the 24-hour gym is a convenient bonus.
Location: Walking distance to Speedway and 7-Eleven, and about a 7–10 minute drive to Publix, Walmart, or Starbucks.
Cons:
Air Conditioning: The biggest issue is the AC. It requires frequent repairs, and during the summer you can expect to submit maintenance requests at least once or twice a month.
Noise: The walls are very thin. Music and other sounds from neighbors carry clearly, and vibrations can sometimes be felt through the walls. This can be disruptive for light sleepers.
Parking: Parking is not well-monitored. Even with a resident pass, it’s common to find non-residents using the spaces, forcing you to park off-property or in restricted areas.
Lease Terms: Renter should note the stricter terms on vacating early. Two months’ rent is required upfront, or tenants must continue paying until a new renter moves in. Management mentioned some units have remained vacant for up to 180 days.
Entry System: The keypad and door frequently jam or malfunction, making access inconvenient.
Lighting: Bedrooms do not have ceiling lights, so residents must be ready too purchase their own lamps or additional lighting.
Communication: Emails can take 4–7 days for a response.. For important matters, it’s best to visit the office directly.
Rent Portal: The online payment system is frustrating with constant technical errors. Using Flex, the split-payment system, is often more reliable.
Overall: Oasis offers good amenities, a convenient location, and a maintenance team that goes above and beyond. However, ongoing AC problems, thin walls, parking challenges, and strict lease terms can make living here frustrating. If you’re considering Oasis, weigh the value of the amenities against the day-to-day inconveniences.
