I had high hopes with this place for my child who is on the spectrum. Unfortunately, it is like every other ABA center— full of promises but, fails to deliver anything more than a waitlist after wasting your time for months. I engaged this business many months ago and specifically, mentioned I was looking for consistency during the summer for my child. Based on their misrepresentation, I declined the schools offer to have the child attend ESY programming. Inquired today about the next step and timeline, I was told today (two weeks before the summer break begins), that there is a 1-2 month waitlist as they hire new people. I spoke about this very issue that has affected the child at other ABA centers that take your information and place the child on a waitlist and I was assured that wouldn’t happen. Here we are. The only “next step” you should be taking is away from this dishonest clown show.

I worked here as an registered behavior technician while exploring the possibility of a career in ABA. Ultimately I decided to go back to my passion teaching in public education. NSA is a great place to work. It has a family feel to it - even after leaving I have strong friendships with my former coworkers and superiors. When I went through personal problems NSA was super supportive and treated me well. The culture is a good balance of professional but also fun and innovative. If you are already in ABA but are unhappy with your work environment you should check out NSA; if you don’t know a lot about ABA but are looking to explore it you found the right place to come. NSA has developed their own in house curriculum so you can learn the basics of ABA, the culture of NSA and get your RBT certificate. At NSA you will get to work with kids of all ages. Over time you will see the kids learn and grow; you will make a huge difference for these kids and for their families. NSA is a great place to work :-)

We love The Next Step Academy! When my three-year-old was diagnosed with autism the next steps associated with getting him into therapy were overwhelming at first. After a lot of research and reaching out to friends for recommendations, we fell upon NSA. NSA has provided loving, play-based therapy that has helped our son potty train, learn social skills and effective communication, get past educational hurdles, and learn to accept new foods (that he now loves). The clinic has also provided a plethora of parent education so we can support him at home and has always been available to discuss any immediate concerns we have with his behavior. We can’t say enough positive things about our experience!

Have SSES funds? Avoid this place like the plague! They are never on time, cancel sessions last minute, and then had the audacity to accuse us of not paying invoices and cancelled our son’s therapy session 2 hours before it was supposed to happen. Ben, their business manager, is a total piece of work and couldn’t care less about kids with special needs RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
