  During my time at The Monroe (Unit 144), professional mold testing of my unit and mycotoxin testing in my body confirmed toxic mold exposure. Despite providing these documented results, I was not allowed to terminate my lease. My next-door neighbor’s unit was remediated, confirming that the issue affected multiple units. These conditions caused damage to my personal belongings and continued to affect my health after moving out. Staff members were polite, but permanent solutions to the underlying problem were not implemented during my residency.

  I’ve been living at The Monroe since 2022 and can give insight into my rental experience here the last 3 years. Service requests were responded to in a timely manner and concerns I had were addressed, until recently. They even worked with me on lease renewals to give me a competitive rate the two times I renewed. Before leasing here I looked at the reviews. I was cautious of reviews about cars towed etc. because each complex has towing rules. I myself had multiple friends towed on separate occasions in the last three years of living here and all were times that those rules weren’t followed. It’s annoying, but they send out emails repeatedly on what the towing rules are. Walking around the apartment complex, I’ve routinely found dog waste from tenants that don’t pick up after their pets, purple irrigation lines that should be below the soil, above and visible, soil runoff on walking surfaces, and more recently seen a/c window units installed on windows. As for my unit, things seemed to work fine and I didn’t have concerns until recently. These concerns are serious concerns to my health and the wellbeing of my personal belongings inside my unit. I made these concerns known and have followed up routinely, and I have not received the urgency that the situation demands. The Monroe staff have installed temporary measures without any desire to tackle the underlying issue. This inaction has caused damage to my personal belongings. I’d like to have the peace of mind to know that my health isn’t at risk by sleeping inside my unit and that my personal belongings are not at risk from further damage, but currently I do not. These concerns have caused so much mental anguish. When your health and safety are at risk, it really doesn’t matter how “nice and welcoming” the office staff appear to be.

  I've been a resident of the Monroe Apartments since April of this year and so far my experience has been very pleasant. Lisa, the Property Manager and Brittney, the Assistant Manager have been professional, accommodating, helpful and friendly. Lisa is proactive with maintaining the community to the highest of standards and has a can do and hardworking attitude. The management team responds quickly to all maintenance requests, questions and resident concerns. I absolutely love the friendly vibe that the office staff has created at the community and thoroughly enjoy my beautiful apartment with all of the convenient amenities, including the sparkling clean pool! I highly recommend this apartment community to anyone looking to live at a property where the management team cares and responds to the resident's needs.

  I’ve had a positive experience since being a resident, the apartment staff are welcoming. Britni has been incredibly accommodating and helpful with my questions regarding anything which really stood out.
