  I wish there was a 0 star option. I regret every single day signing a lease at The Marq. These have been the worst two months of my life living anywhere, and that is not an exaggeration. On move-in day, we were promised a clean unit. What I walked into was absolutely disgusting. There was trash left on the floor, mold in the bathtub, and cockroaches both dead and alive. From day one, it was clear this place had been neglected for a long time. Since then, I have dealt with constant "treatments," "deep cleanings," and "steam cleanings." Every time they come, I have to completely empty my kitchen and bathroom like I am moving out, just for the cockroaches to come back a few days later. The fact that they are even renting out units this infested is unbelievable. There are holes in the walls, the paint job is terrible, the entire unit smells musty, and the management acts like they have no idea what is going on. Today, a person from management actually had the audacity to tell me, “We never had reports before of cockroaches. Not saying you’re dirty, but this unit never had it before you moved in.” Hearing that was infuriating. As its literally impossible for cockroaches to show up at this level 3 days after we moved in loooolll!!!! Today, I reached out to someone online who lived here last year, and they told me it has always been this bad. I wish I had done my research before signing. I am paying full rent for a place I do not even use because it is so disgusting. I refuse to cook in the kitchen and go home every weekend just to get away from this apartment. Save yourself the stress and money. Do not sign a lease here. Do not trust the online tour. Go in person and you will see exactly what kind of nightmare this building really is.   I want to say a big thank you to the maintenance team and front desk team here at 75 Ann Street for their consistency and prompt attendance to maintenance requests. Thank you so much for prioritizing our comfort. It is well appreciated by me and my unit mates.

  Do not move here. Living at 75 Ann street was the worst renters experience of my life. I lived there from 2022-2025 and it got so much worse as time went on. BUGS, MOULD, SCAM First and foremost, half of the bedrooms do not have windows!!! The window they installed doesn’t connect to outside, but into the living room. There needs to be two points of exit from every room and this is such a fire hazard. Secondly, the living conditions are disgusting. Plain and simple. The carpets are dirty and gross, floors caked with years of dirt and grime, bathrooms covered with black mould, and so much more. The apartment down the hall from mine smelled of cat pee for months. I complained to the management multiple times and nothing was ever done. I could smell it from inside MY bedroom down the hallway. There were so many bugs!!! Ants, spiders, not to mention cockroaches. The maintenance people are kind, but management is the worst. Which brings me to my final point, the management is something of only nightmares. I had many friends living in this apartment building and heard on numerous occasions that the leasing agents are known for doing everything they can to take advantage of students. They do everything they can to take money from students unaware of their tenant rights. As soon as I tried to move out, the same happened to me. They tried to claim owed them another months rent (not even sure where this claim came from) but as soon as I called them out and stated the bylaw in the Ontario residential tenancies act, they immediately backed down and I suddenly didn’t owe them any money. Save yourself the trouble. Do not move here.

  The front desk people are incredible. The best in the biz. Especially Riva the CSR. Namastay anywhere else ya know.
