Such a quintessential LA experience. The location and amenities of this property make Ktown as a must go destination to explore. The rooms are minimally but beautifully decorated, BR86 is a my favorite club in LA and the focus on art really captures the attention of the young and vibrant creative crowd. I love the Shepard Fairey’s mural and it’s a reminder that you arrived at one of Los Angeles authentic and unapologetic space.

Decent, but Thermal Comfort and Value for Money Need Improvement 👍 Positives The room was functional and included all essential amenities (everything needed, even if the thermal insulation was lacking). 👎 Negatives Poor Thermal Comfort: The room was cold due to very weak insulation (single glazing)and really noisy. No heating available, which is a major drawback in cold weather. Parking: The valet parking service is prohibitive at $55. Fortunately, an affordable alternative is available just 150 meters away for $7 per night. ⚖️ Conclusion and Value Overall, the hotel is average considering the price point. While the room itself is adequate, the issues with heating and insulation significantly impact the stay experience, making the value for money questionable.

To start off, the room was small and had a weird odor. Also it didn’t affect my stay at all but the room decorations are a bit on the pretentious side… a rock. The water pressure was great though the water doesn’t get that hot. They have a snack and drink bar in the room but we couldn’t find a price list. The $300 additional hold seemed excessive. They have a restaurant/bar by the pool but they won’t allow you to order if you’re in your bathing suit which seemed ridiculous to us. The rooms are very loud as it’s located on a busy street so bring earplugs. The staff were all very nice except for one guy at the pool bar. The coffee shop was absolutely delightfully and the staff were all nice. Valet pricing is just ridiculous. Overall we had a good stay.

I’ve stayed at The LINE Hotel before and had a great experience a few years ago, but this stay was completely different. There are now a ton of hidden fees, a $30 “amenity fee” that wasn’t disclosed upfront and $60 valet parking, which is excessive. On top of that, there’s no usable fridge in the room. The only one available is fully stocked with their own mini bar items, leaving no room for guests to store leftovers or personal items. If you want them to remove their drinks, it’s another $25 fee, which is absurd for a supposedly guest-friendly hotel. The space itself is stylish, but the constant add-on charges and lack of basic guest conveniences made the experience frustrating and disappointing. It's clear the focus is more on upselling than hospitality. I won’t be returning.

My stay had some challenges that I hope the hotel can address for future guests. The biggest issue during my stay was the blinds in the room. They are controlled electronically via a wall switch, but they would open and close on their own at random times. The motor that operates the blinds is also quite loud, which made the experience even more disruptive. This made sleeping and changing in the room very difficult. The only way to stop them was by holding down the stop button, but that only paused them temporarily — they would start moving again shortly after. The blinds even opened in the morning while we were still trying to sleep and again after we showered and were getting ready to go out. Some of the furniture in the room was also oddly designed. The standing lamp had a very heavy round concrete base that caused it to lean against the wall, and trying to move or adjust it so it stood straight was nearly impossible. The coffee table looked stylish at first, but its surface was covered with faux wooden “books” (rectangular wooden blocks), leaving almost no flat space. We had to balance drinks either on top of the blocks or between them, which made the table basically useless. Additionally, if you bring your own car, you’re forced to use the valet service — there’s no option for self-parking, which I found inconvenient. Lastly, I requested extra towels during my stay but never received them, which was disappointing and inconvenient. Overall, while the hotel has potential, these issues made the stay much less comfortable and relaxing than expected.
