  Excellent bar/tavern in Old Town with very friendly service! If you’re a Buffalo Bills fan, Light Horse is also a great place to watch the game as a Bills backer bar! We really enjoyed the spot and thought our food and drinks were delicious.

  Such a great place. I was in DC for a meeting and ended up going out to have a drink, I did not eat here, just had drinks. However the bartenders were awesome the place had a great vibe to it and an awesome atmosphere.

  Having our Post competition party for the 2025 ISU North American Adult International Figure Skating Event at Mt. Vernon Ice Rink in Alexandria , Virginia. Light Horse Restaurant and Bar is a class act, taking care of our party with fabulous food and drink. Highly recommended for your private party and dining needs! 😉

  LightHorse had the best vibes in Old Town! Don't miss Gary for karaoke in Sundays and Mondays, and Duncan is the sweetest, kindest, bestest bartender there is! Don't miss the fun!

  We had such a pleasant dining experience at the Light Horse on a gorgeous Saturday evening. We were warmly greeted and promptly sat. We had 2 apps and an entree all spaced out and we were never rushed. We had the wings, nachos, and brisket grilled cheese. All three were amazing! Lastly, my boyfriend and I don’t drink and we were SO pleasantly surprised to see NA cocktails and NA beers on the menu. I got a nonalcoholic margarita and it was delicious! Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Alexandria!
