  I hired Joseph Baker to represent me in my high-conflict divorce, expecting a competent and proactive attorney. Instead, I was met with delays, poor communication, and a lack of urgency that had serious consequences for me and my child. Due to Attorney Baker’s failure to file time-sensitive motions, my child was allowed to relocate out of state before a proper hearing could take place , making an already difficult situation even worse. Additionally, his delays and lack of follow through led to my request for temporary support being denied, leaving me financially strained during a crucial time. Despite my ex-husband’s clear attempts to evade financial responsibility, my attorney failed to push back or fight for what was legally mine. Divorce is hard enough without having to battle your own lawyer’s incompetence and excuses for missing deadlines. I ultimately had to seek better representation, but the damage had already been done. If you are in a high-conflict divorce and need a lawyer who will fight for you, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I am preparing to file a complaint with the FL Bar Association his ineffective counsel was so egregious.

  Attorney Baker provided calm, compassionate, and highly professional assistance, and allowed me to work with him on an hourly basis, which was greatly appreciated.

  Incredibly horrendous service. Inability to make good on communication and commitments. Four months of wasted time in a time sensitive situation, failed to listen or adjust legally so much so had to be dropped for another attorney. Would not recommend.

  Mr. Baker was absolutely wonderful to work with. He made everything very easy and understandable for my divorce. He answered all of my questions, even the most basic, and let’s be honest, sometimes dumb ones. He was very professional, patient and understanding what a hard decision it was and how emotionally trying the time was. I would highly recommend him for ANY family law services!

  I hired Mr. Baker for an uncontested paternity case. Before hiring him I had spoken with four more lawyers. They said paternity cases were really complex and what they charged was astronomical. On the other hand, Mr. Baker said it was a simple process, but he was really thorough. He told me how he was going to proceed even before I hired him. His rate was really reasonable, and best of all, I knew from the beginning how much it was going to be. There were no surprises in the money or how the process went. Everything went as expected. In the final hearing he was prepared and professional, and everything went perfect. My wife and I are so pleased to have met Mr.Baker. He was superb.
