Beautiful upscale hotel on a beautiful lake. The rooms are amazing. Housekeeping and front door butlers were awesome. Spa was luscious and the yoga teacher was really good. Check-in charged our cards and we had already paid before arrival. There is nothing anywhere that depicts the extra charges like daily room fee. What is that? Food was good but not great especially for the price. Oftentimes breakfast was cold with small portions. Staff seemed irked when asking for improved service. At this price point for an upscale hotel, one expects service with a smile. They corrected all the issues while we were there but it did take away from the overall experience.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We came with our 3 month old baby for 5 nights and it was the perfect getaway. They provided a beautiful crib, a fridge for milk, and undivided attention whenever we needed somehring. The grounds are gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was so special. I also had a massage and it was lovely. We can’t wait to come back!

I stayed at The Lake House for my niece’s wedding this past weekend. While it was a great time seeing family again I can’t get over the rude interaction I had with one of the staff member. At the wedding when we went inside to sit down for dinner my table was curious when the bar would open back up. I volunteered to ask the bartenders and when I got to the bar, I was greeted by a dark haired woman, who’s first response to me walking up to the bar was “what do you need? “ I was thrown back by her response, and replied with “my table was curious when the bar would be back open.” My interaction with her continued to be unpleasant as she responded with “You just had an hour of open bar. It will be open once they finish setting up”. I later asked one of the gentleman behind the bar where that Bartender went and he said oh that wasn’t a bartender that’s the events manager. I believe he said Jojo(?) was her name. The rest of the staff was great, but my interaction with her was memorable and unpleasant.

Over the weekend, I attended a wedding at the Lakehouse and unfortunately had a disappointing experience due to a rude staff member. The day was rainy, and we were asked to wait in the lobby before the ceremony began. After waiting for 29 minutes, I approached her to inquire about the ceremony start time, and she curtly replied, “I can’t control the weather.” My encounter with her didn’t end there. Later, while I was searching for the bathroom, she huffed in annoyance before pointing me in the right direction. Given the high cost of hosting a wedding at this venue, I would expect a much more welcoming demeanor from the staff. It’s disappointing that such an important occasion was met with poor customer service. The couple deserves better representation on their special day.

We stayed at the Lake House towards the end of summer this year and we're pretty disappointed. The grounds were beautiful of course but pretty much everything else was lacking. The food available at the resort is extremely overpriced (especially the breakfast) for what you receive. At the prices the lake house charges we expected a certain level of service, but we're disappointed in that area. The front desk staff and all the servers we interacted with seemed annoyed and irritated to be serving us. The only pleasant staff interaction we had was with the bellhop. The icing on top for us was when we checked out and they charged us a room fee of about $90. A few weeks later we checked our bank statements and saw they charged us the same $90 fee when we checked in (meaning they charged us twice). We had to call and have them correct it. At those prices we were so disappointed with our experience.
