  I recently moved back to Provo, so had not been to Happy Sumo for a while, so I was SO excited to go back and I can honestly say it was as good as ever! I love the food there and the people there, and of course the service is always top notch. Happy Sumo rocks! David

  The service was slow, inattentive and inconsistent. The food was worse. The tempura veggies were heavy. The sushi was not good--you can get better sushi at a grocery store. The presentation was poor. This may have been a good sushi restaurant at one point, but those days are gone.

  We got take out, obviously it’s better eaten there. But it was pretty awful, the sushi tastes and looked like pure mayo on top, the asparagus was hard. And everything was so bland. No flavor. We threw out a whole teriyaki chicken meal and sushi roll.

  Rolls were amazing, as well as the service. Teya provided prompt and friendly service and gave some great recommendations. We will definitely be coming back.

  We enjoyed lunch at Happy Sumo in Provo today. Our first time here. The vibe and decor is great. We ordered the Utah roll, a simple spicy salmon roll, an appetizer sampler with pot stickers, crab wings ntons, and a surprise of tempura sweet peppers, so that was just nd of unique and we enjoyed them. We also had some tempura veggies and shrimp. Nice and crispy. Our server was really nice and attentive.
