  A great place to get garlic for fall planting. Knowledgable staff who provided a number of tips on when and how to plant garlic.

  We went for their Garlic & Cider event and were pleasantly surprised how nice this Garden Center was. Their plants looked healthy and they offered a great variety. This is a family owned business with a very knowledgeable staff. They also have a nice gift shop selling garden and home accents and containers. Thru out the year they offer classes and tours as well as seasonal events. The Garlic & Cider event was smaller than we expected with only a handful of vendors. We did end up buying a few succulents plus they gave us a FREE mint plant. With 2 locations, Aurora and Naperville..they have grown into a garden oasis for everyone!

  I love coming here. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They also have a great selection of healthy plants and fun events!

  I think I found my home away from home! I love this place. So many plants to choose from! I went to The Growing Place before but their other location and honestly, didn't have a positive experience. I was looking for an unique vine to plant on my newly built arbor and looked online and came up with The Growing Place but learned - they have 2 locations! Went to this location on Montgomery Road and I found paradise! The staff was amazing. Answered all my questions. They made suggestions as well. I wasn't intimidated or made to feel small (like their other location). The prices are similar to a Big Box store and for future, I'm shopping at the Growing Place because there's more variety. Sign up for their perks program and you can learn about their calendar of seminars. I had an awesome experience on that Sunday with Jen and Brian that I came back 2 days later and bought more plants. Met Joannie & Barb - more great staff!

  WOW! What an amazing experience from start to finish at The Growing Place. I called and spoke with Joanie, who answered my questions about the availability of an aloe plant not treated with chemicals. She mentioned there were a few small ones remaining, so I made the 45 minute drive to grab them. I’d not been to The Growing Place before and it is beautiful. Every single person I spoke with was kind and helpful. When I asked questions, they were respectfully and knowledgeably answered. And then I got to meet Joanie, who quickly treated me like a guest in her own home. It was clear pretty quickly that I had little to no idea what I was doing with my new aloe plants. She not only answered those questions with great knowledge and patience, but she helped me select a pot and plant the three little plants together. She then carried my new plant to checkout, told me more about the location, and sent me home with some goodies, including a darling little pumpkin and a growing guide for plants. I had my hands full carrying my little dog, so Joanie even carried my new plant and box of goodies to the car for me. I felt like royalty. Joanie very clearly loves plants, gardening, and her workplace, and it showed in how she answered my questions and treated me as a guest. I felt welcome and valued, and I look forward to heading back to make additional purchases in the future. Highly, highly recommended! (And thanks to Joanie and everyone at The Growing Place for making my day!)
